Not sure what I am missing. I have the HD homerun successfully set up for both tuners recording unencrypted QAM. Recordings come out amazing now for a week (Id have to say better than my HD cable box). However, comskip will not run on those recordings. I have tried the options for running while the show is being records and after the show is done recording. Is it a file-type issue? I am not sure where to start.
I am a newbie to GBPVR but have been using BeyondTV under XP. I just installed Vista64 and then installed GBPVR which was able to scan the channels and when I select Live TV I hear the audio for the channel but do not see a picture. I have an Nvidia 7800GT as my video card with the latest drivers. Any ideas what I should be looking for?
I have attached the logs from the last config and playback session.
Thanks!
Update: Playing a DVD ends up with a black window and I don't hear anything but I probably wouldn't if it was on the dvd menu
I just switched to Vista Premium and I'm trying to set up GB-PVR, I can't get the EPG load, I know its active I used 2 weeks ago. Here is a screen shot of the message I get. TIA
I've been at gbpvr for about two weeks now and I'm not doing too badly - I've now got a nova-t-500 installed and working, client/server, web interface, recording/playback, music video collection/mp3 collection/family pics and videos, blah blah blah...
I'm interested in music related programs, especially 70's and 80's stuff (whistle test and such) since I figure watching music with video gives you a bit more then just listening to the music. So I want some sort of way to find out what upcoming programs might be of interest to me without having to manually scroll through the gppvr tv guides. I haven't had much luck looking for an ODBC driver for SQlite (which would allow me to dig about using vb/access) so tonight I started playing with XMLTV stuff... and guess what?
During the whole of next week there's absolutely naff all on...
Can anyone confirm that the only way to tune in to part-time and shared channels is to Config/Capture Sources/Edit/Map Digital.../Retune at the times these channels are actually broadcasting? or have I missed something?
Also is there anyway to change the default recording quality to High?
I encountered a serious problem when attempting to play x264-files.
While I can play these files using Zoomplayer or VLC, I get no picture from whithin GBPVR - sound is still there.
When I render the file in graphedit, it shows up just fine and plays nicely as well.
Any hints ?
Sorry for posting this probably silly sounding question
If I point gb pvr to a directory with a ripped dvd in it it plays back fine
If I put a dvd in the dvd drive and try to play it I get nothing but a black screen
the dvd drives does spin up but nothing happens
What am I doing wrong ? , other software such as media player classic can load and play dvd's fine
The correct drive letter is selected in config , in the Video decoder section it is set to default ( no other options listed ) , also the Audio decoder / render is set to auto.
A quick question about the 1600 card...can it capture (using GB-PVR, of course) OTA ATSC via the antenna and analog NTSC via the s-video port, at the same time? That would be way cool and solve my slot limit problem...
With manual recurring recordings, I would like to have the possibillity to specify how many recordings to keep. Now this is only possible for recurring recordings from the tv guide.
