I'm still trying to work out my 24 recording problem. I went into the guide earlier this evening and 24 was colored orange instead of red. I clicked on it and chose resolve. It was telling me I had to cancel one of the other two things recording. I have enough tuners this shouldn't be an issue. I did cancel one of the offered recordings then went back to the guide and hit the red button and it(the same one I just cancelled) turned red without any problems just like I would normally expect.
So what do I look at to figure out this oddity? Should I clean out the recurring recordings and re-do them?
I just don't know where to start with stuff like this. I get what I want in the end if I catch it and mess with it, but I'd like it to be automatic.
I'll attach the logs folder in case something in there might help.
I have a MediaMVP hooked up via a wireless access point to a TV in my living room. The problem is this, when viewing live TV or a video from the system the far right is being cut off. I have tried using the MVP Position plugin but even with the offset at 0 the problem occurs. Upon further inspection I discovered that my PVR 150 is recording at 720x480. My TV only displays 640x480 is there a way to:
1) change the recording resolution to 640x480 (I didnt see it in the dropdown)
2) make the MVP cut from both sides a video equally
3) shrink the image slightly so that the whole thing fits
If theres anything else you need to know about my setup let me know.
I've been using d1xmltv to grab EPG data pretty happily for about a year.
Now it seems they have no data for the commercial channels. (While I'm happy enough with that, I'm getting complaints about the fact MASH is not being recorded!).
Last data they had for Nine and Ten was for 13 May 07. ABC and SBS are there for the next 4-5 days, as per usual
I'd appreciate it if anyone else using d1xmltv (Melbourne data) could confirm they're having the same problem, and that I'm not just being dimwitted. I have run a query on the site, and from what I can see they simply have no data for free.melbourne.10 (as they call it).
Also, if anyone has any recommendations as to a stable grabber for Melbourne EPG I'd be grateful!
So I got a new Sapphire 550Pro capture card and it came with a remote... The sensor is USB, I plug it in, and XP detects it ok.
But none of the buttons do anything :|. Do I need to install something like girder to get it to work?
One other thing, I didn't install the drivers that came with the card, I downloaded the latest from ATI. Looking at the driver CD, I don't see anything resembling a remote driver or app.
Anyone using one of these that can help me out?
Obviously I'll want to get this working with GBPVR.
After moving and copying a couple my recording files, I ran the mpegimport utility to import the recording files that had got lost from the database when gbpvr spotted them missing.
A lot more files were imported than I expected.
I seem to be getting odd orphaned MPG files left around after cancelling recordings that are in progress.
Attached is recordingservices log file of one that happened today. Starts recording a minute before 15:00 (02:59 in the log) and is cancelled shortly after as it was a repeat. It's gone from pending and new, but the mpg file is still on disk. I don't know, but I have a vague feeling that this has only happened on dvb-t recordings and not from the pvr150.
I'm having trouble working out which video renderer to use.
The PVR PC is an AOpen XC Cube AV with a Celeron 2.6GHz processor, and I'm trying to keep the CPU usage down because the thermal fan control in the XC Cube seems to be hard-coded to run the thing at 70C, whereas it seems happiest at the 66C Intel rate it to and below.
Graphics card is an NVidia MX3000, running to VGA 640x480x32 output.
Video decoder is either Intervideo NonCSS decoder, or NVidia PureVideo - results seem pretty consistent regardless of which I tell gbpvr to use.
The problems I'm having with the various renderers are as follows:
Overlay (ideal for me - lowest CPU usage!) - the output is dark - saturation seems low & hue high. The bands on non-4:3 output are dark-purple rather than black. My gf is kinda Goth, though, so that's not so bad.
VMR7 - medium CPU usage, aspect-ratio description text doesn't change correctly.
VMR9 - high CPU usage, output has tearing
VMR9 Custom - high CPU usage
VMR9 Full-screen Exclusive - aspect-ratio is wrong when switched out of full-screen mode, e.g. back at menu. selecting "menu" and then TV Guide while TV is active switches back to TV, not to guide. when I first tested, it also had interlacing artefacts, although they seem to have gone now.
From these results, it seems to me that overlay is what I want, but that I need to sort the colours out. Does anyone know what component is responsible for that and/or how I go about fixing it?
I have an MVP and this is working excellently with gbpvr (thanks!), however, I have a WinTV-NOVA-T PCI card laying around (somewhere! I tried to find it yesterday, but the misses has put it in a *safe* place ;-) ) and was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting this working with GBPVR under 64 bit windows.
I have searched the forum but cannot find any reference to it - the reason I am asking first rather than just finding the card and steaming in, is simply 'cos I have had very little luck getting anything to work on Vista x64 (apart from GBPVR, which installed perfectly first time and streamed straight through to the MVP with no trouble at all), and I pretty much have no hair left.
The machine I have is an AMD Opteron 2212 64bit x 4, 8gb ram, 4x250 SATA II drives, running Vista 64bit.
If not this card, then has anyone had another card working in a similar environment, as I don't mind ditching the card and getting another that I know will work with GBPVR and the MVP under Vista64.
TV quality in GB-PVR doesn't seem as good as Hauppauge's own TV2000 program. The deinterlacing doesn't seem nearly as clean, leaving vertical lines, motion artifacts, and jagged edges.
These are some relevant settings:
InterVideo NonCSS as the video decoder, VMR9, no ffsdhow, encoder pass-through deinterlacing.
