I have just bought a V-Gear MobiTV Combo , but have got the Vista system on my new computer, and although I have been able to download the driver for this, Microsoft doesnt recognize this model and when I try to launch it, I get a message saying "please install MediaPlay 9 or above" but I have got Media Player 11 but it wont recognise this model.
Has anybody else got this model of TV Card please?
Hi sub I'm quite sure this has been adressed before, but I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.
When I close down the mvp, the following error appears in the log:
I think you said before that this was normal for a mvp closing down.

It takes over a minute for the server to "realise" that the mvp has stopped. After this it takes only a few secs to restart the mvp-server.
I guess there is a reason for that, but would it be possible to change that so that a reconnect would be a lot quicker.
I know I can start 2 mvp-servers, it works very well but it seems a bit overkill to me.

I'm looking for a second HD tuner card (ATSC), a Fusion5 Lite/Gold/Whatever or anything else that will work well with GB-PVR (I have a Fusion5 now). Before I shell out for a new one from a vendor, does anyone here have one they no longer use and want to sell for a reasonable price? I'm in the U.S., in Arizona, near Phoenix (105F here today). PM me if you have something of interest.
I'd like to turn my regular Xbox into a media extender. I know this can be done with Windows Media Center but has anybody ever tried it with GBPVR? I'd like also still use it as a game console. Any thoughts? Thx.
I have a question about the standard music library.
I was trying to clean it up a little bit to make it a bit simpler. I wanted to get rid of it showing the title and the artist in the listing. I found a section in the config file that seems to have taken care of it. i changed this,
That worked and now i'm just seeing the title in the list but for the life of me i can't get the line to use all the space in the skin file. Right now it's only using the same amount of space about half, that the old tag with title and artist used, I'm trying to get the title to use the empty space that the artist used.
I figure it's got to be in this section somewhere but so far no matter what i adjust the line stays the same length and cuts off half the titles. My wife's classical selection titles are very long.
Are recordings fuzzy selected, (a like say in sql) or are they an equals.
Depending on you epg source, you may have found that your lost didn't record this week as they incorporated the subtitle into the title (well I know mine didn't).
So I'm interested to how you match the titles of programs. ANd then I suppose for a wish list item could we have a setting to uses a "starts with: type arrangement for setting shows as pending recordings??
For the last few weeks, advanced episode searches have taken much longer to run, and the list generated shows the same program over and over (I've pasted part of the results generated by seaching for 'Doctor who' below).
I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything (hardware and sofware) to no avail. Emptying the EPG does not solve the problem... any ideas?

I have a bit of an odd problem going on here today.
For some reason, all channels that run off of channel 45 on the Sandy Heath Transmitter (UK), are not working in either Live TV or Recording mode for me.
When trying to watch ITV, Channel 4, etc from the TV guide, the screen goes blank for a few seconds, then drops back to the guide. A 0kb live buffer file is created. This occurs on my MVP's, and using the client mode, except that it just stops dead.
The really weird thing is that BBC1, BBC2, and others all work fine. It just seems to be programs on CH 45. However, using the "map EPG to channels" window I can see ITV1, Ch 4 etc, and it seems to have no problem decoding them.
I have attached my logs, can anyone help? I am seriously confused!
I had everything running great under XP. A good reason to upgrade, huh!
I have a Hauppauge HVR-1600 and ATI AIW x800. Since moving to Vista, I can no longer see video when tuning into HD channels. Analog stations continue to work fine.
I played with a few playback settings in the config and when I selected overlay, it showed the antenna strength meters. This indicated no signal which is odd as signal was very strong under XP. I can't see HD in the channel map dialog either and no other settings were modified.
