Is there some way from within GBPVR to capture a screenshot of the live TV feed (or any other video feed, for that matter) at a particular moment? I want to create a kind of "visual logging" video plugin that for examples captures the screen every time the channel changes.
My attempts so far have involved using IrfanView's capture mechanism, and Windows.Forms.SendKeys.Send() to generate what are essentially PrintScreen keyboard commands. However, the "keypress" never gets to IrfanView. (It works with actual keyboard keypresses, but not with ones generated by my plugin.) The best thing would be an internal API to get the current video frame, but an external screenshot grabber that can be reliably controlled from a plugin would work as well.
I am trying to move some shows I recorded onto another hard drive ont eh computer and I want those seperated from the recorded shows. But when I move them I lose the whole title of the specific show and short description is there a way to move them and keep this so I can better organize my shows?
Hi, has anyone used this as the graphics card with GBPVR?
I seem to recall reading somewhere that the Parhelias are not suitable for use in a PVR but cannot find the article now (if it ever existed). It may be something to do with the drivers and Media Player or MPEG playback?
I'm having some issues with timeshift mode. Pausing, rewind, and fastforward only sometimes work. Sometimes I'll hit pause and it won't, or it won't rewind. Occasionally, I even have this issue loading some videos (mostly DivX ones) from my video library, but NEVER recorded TV shows. Any ideas?
I am not sure if this is an MVP issue or a ComSkip/ComClean issue. During playback (viewing on TV through MVP) there will be random instances of the video jumping ahead, like 10 minutes or so, forward. If I hit rewind I have to go to the point it occurred and it will then replay correctly. If I rewind but don't go back to the point when the skip occurred, as soon as I click on 'play' it jumps again. I recently got a new computer and loaded 99.12 with the latest version of ComSkip and ComClean. Also, latest Hauppauge MVP and PVR drivers. I tried switching the 99.12 dongle with 99.05 but still had the problem. Any ideas?
I've bought a couple of USB DVB devices over the last couple of days, and I've run into so many problems (as seems to be the trend here).
I want to get rid of the ones I've bought, and buy one that will work without having to spend two weeks solving problems.
So does anybody have any suggestions for what the best USB DVB device is? I'm not made of money, so I'm not after something pricey. Just something that's a reasonable price, that works with gbpvr.
I don't know if this is already implemented or has been asked, I tried a search to see, so I will ask... I like the ability in the program listing to reverse the sort by date with the red button on the hauppauge remote and was wondering if another button could be assigned to sort by subtitle? Sometimes I know the subtitle of the episode I want to watch but not the date it was recorded.
I want to be able to record two over the air HDTV channels, and save them to the hard drive on my computer. At the same time this is occurring, I want to be able to stream another HDTV show over my wired ethernet to a DSM-520 I have setup in my living room.
In other words, record two HDTV shows, and watch a third HDTV show at the same time.
The HDHomerun seems like a quick and easy solution, but I wonder how a standard 10/100 ethernet network would cope with two incoming HDTV data streams, and a third HDTV steam going to the media server? That's THREE HDTV streams going over the network at once. It would get even worse if I'm surfing the net on my laptop while I watch TV (don't laugh, I do it all the time. ).
That's where internal cards like the Fusion HDTV seem to make more sense, as they wouldn't be using any of the ethernet bandwidth. The only stream going over the net would be the show I'm watching.
Unfortunately, it would take two cards and two PCI slots to use the Fusion cards, which makes the USB connection of the OnAir GT sound inviting.
Of course, the cost seems to increase for each step up.
I never watch live TV, only shows we have recorded earlier.
Which device would you choose (preferably something you have experience with), or is there another device that would be better suited to this?
I have NO interest in devices that require a subscription (i.e. Tivo).
At some point, I'd like to stream different shows on my drive to different TV's in the house. So a little future planning is needed also.
anyone have issues with Hibernate messing with the drivers and HDD files? I find that hibernating kills my Cyberlink decoders and video playback in GBPVR in overlay.
I've read that hibernate can screw things up...anyone see these problems and if you did, how did you solve it?
