Hi, I'm new to GBPVR and have to say I'm very impressed.. this is the first HTPC software my wife has given a spousal acceptance factor of 10!
I was wondering.. is there a hotkey that I can map my iMon remote to use to trigger an attempted standby? At the end of the night I'd like to shutdown the PC but have it delay a standby until after any recordings are complete.
The current iMon power button does a windows standby and kills off any recordings.. I'd prefer GBPVR catch the action and delay the standby function. Is this possible?
I think it would be a handy feature to add the "find More" button to the detail screen of any show that has already been recorded OR is pending. This would save going to search to find more shows in cases where a recurring recording has not been set, etc. IMHO this would be a time saver in some cases and would probably be only a skin change.
I quite often think to myself that it would be handy to be able to do a search for a particular show when I am looking through pending or recorded shows to see if there are more of that show, and I have allot of recurring recordings, but some shows I set up manually to record.
Whatya think? Handy feature or not?
Anyone know if Hauppauge will be doing PCI Express, i am upgrading hardware but all now are PCI E only boards, i dont want to have to get a case and board JUST to support the PVR150 board... ????
Hi everyone,
Many thanks for any help on this one:
I was having a problem scrolling up in the tv-guide. I could scroll down, but when scrolling up, the channels listed on screen didn't change.
So I thought I'd check if there was a newer version of gbPVR, upgraded to the latest version and now I've lost all season recording.
I completely wiped all pending recordings, and tried to recreate one.. for say - The Apprentice on Wednesday night on BBC1.
I can select the show, and it doesn't matter if I chose all episodes on this channel, or all in this timeslot, it seems to accept it, the box closes when i press record, and... nothing.
I don't get the red bar, if I move to the left or right of my programme, it isn't red. If I go into the pending recordings, it doesn't show up.
If I ask it to record that episode only - it schedules it fine.
Any ideas on what might cause this or what I can do to fix it?
I have been using Comskip ever since I have used GBPVR can could not think of why not to have it. I noticed recently when I record multiple shows that on the first show comskip runs on it but not on any recording after that. I did expand to 5 tuners before 99.12 but did not really pay much attention till now so do not know when it broke. I just tested recording some more shows and the first 1 works but 2 Thur 5 do not have comskip run on them so no .txt files for the other recordings. I tried running comskip in PostProcessing.bat instead of how I have always run it ParallelProcessing.bat but same results. I have attached all my logs but not really sure where to go from here. I know if I right-click on a show that did not have comskip run on it and say open with ParallelProcessing.bat, then that show will skip commercials like normal. I did also run Process explorer and only see one instance of comskip.exe running.
Anyone got any ideas what to look at?[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]
I'm running vista ultimate with a Win TV PVR 350 card. Live TV was working and now when I go into live tv I get a black screen (within the GB-PVR window) but no picture. Hitting escape on the keyboard returns to the main menu, with no error or other information. I'm not sure what I did between it working and not working.
Windows Media Center works fine (but I'm wondering if WMC did something that GB-PVR didn't like). I've tried uninstalling and re-install GB-PVR.
When I play a dvd (in cd/dvd rom) or a ripped video in video library I get the movie, but no sound. Video with audtio plays fine in Nero or Media center. I've left all the config options to system default. Any suggestions?
I'm running vista ultimate and my only additional video playback program is Nero Showtime.
So some of my recent recordings have been rather wavy... Every once in awhile they're fine, but generally not.
This started when I added another card, and therefor split my cable 3 ways (instead of 2)... So i'm thinking it's possible it's coming from signal strength? Any suggestions on how to fix that? some kind of something I can buy?
