Hello everyone. Happy New year.
I would like to know if there is a way to liven up the program guide in ver 5. It seems kind of bland. I really like the way ver 4 looked. Trying to get it to look more like ver 4.
Thank you,
My setup has run fine for months. This issue start about 2 weeks ago. Every day or so i get these issues now.
Live tv won't stream on any client even the one on the backend pc. I've picked through lots of settings and I'm puzzled. Rebooting the backend pc fixes the issue. Recorded tv or movies play fine.
My setup:
backend- Win10 pc on LAN
front end - KODI on NVIDIA shield tv
I also have KODI and NextPVR client installed on the backed machine for setup and troubleshooting.
If you search the log for "failed" or "root element is missing" you will find the errors.
For some reason I cannot a
upload the whole log.

Hi. I heard that ver 5 can do 4 epg updates per 24 hour period. If that is right what is the correct syntax? does it not autosave?
I have tried the commas to separate the times in an auto dvb/epg update field located in settings/guide. In no case do I see more than 1 waketimer in powercfg /waketimers... how long should I wait after inputting the times? I was thinking it should appear within a minute... or does nextpvr only schedule the closest waketimer until it is completed? adding the next one later. I found the instructions here https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/Add...#epg-guide
I think I saw a post mentioning up to 4 updates per day.
Hi. in 4.2.5 this "Channels" right click popup had a couple slightly different functions available.
1) you could pin it up permanently. I dont see any box for that pin here .
2) if you were dealing with an intermittent channel/fringe station that was locking up nextpvr with no signal, you could always pop up this window with a right click and instantly override the fringe channel by making a new selection.
Maybe you could add this to the wish list for ver 5 when you have time?
Hi. Thought I would mention that client setting for start ui in fullscreen is not remembered. Oddly there is no save button like ver 4. I recall you mentioning something about scaling ways back... but my display settings show 100%. i was using a win 10 ver 20h2 OS with : Google Chrome Version 87.0.4280.88
Hi. There must be some sort of mapping bug or parsing problem or timing issue in the collection of ota epg data. Lets start with Dec 31 at 7pm. In this example WGRZ channel 2.1, ANTENNA 2.2 have no epg data but channels 2.3 and 2.4 (CRIME and QUEST) have data. If I watch the channels with no data directly without npvr for comparision I see data for the current show and the next show. And then for all four 2.x channels so I know its there. Similiar thing seems to happen for channels 4 and 7 and more.
Oddly american Channel 17.1 WNED PBS is showing the epg data for channel 7 WKBW an american ABC network with shows like 7 eyewitness news at 7 and then Dick Clark New Years at 8pm on this day. This suggests that maybe all epg data arrived but has been parsed incorrectly for american channels by the npvr app??
On the other hand the data for canadian chanels like CBLT 5.1 and CITS 14.1 is correct. this is even odder.. why does it fix itself on a canadian channel but error out on american?
Any help on this would be appreciated. It appears NextPVR is failing to run scripts that are set to be run by python 3.
I have epg set to update every hour at 15 minutes past the hour, like so "00:15 01:15 02:15" etc.
It has been working great since installing Nextpvr, but recently it stopped working. I've been modifying my epg grabbing scripts, although they run fine if I manually run the .bat file.
This is my UpdateEPG.bat in "C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\scripts"

I'm unable to attach my logs "Your allocated attachment usage quote in NaN MB", but did find this in the nrecord.log. First interesting thing is, it appears to run at 45 after the hour instead of 15 after. Second thing is it says it can't find python 3 although of course I have python 3 installed (and as I mentioned I can run the script outside of nextpvr by just double clicking either of the UpdateEPG.bat files).
