I have installed and had GBPVR working once... I just put Vista in and it was working great until I rebooted... now everytime I reboot it re-installs ...
It tells me it can't find "any channels" even after I set everything up in the config.
It will load but I can't get anything on the TV Guide. It tells me to setup up the EPG information [which I've set up 4 times already], I've uninstalled, deleted done everything I can think of but no go.
I recently tried to install xDVD and ran into troubles. I found out that I can do what I want to do through the Movies plugin. I know that I can un-enable it, but I would like to get rid of it completely. How do eliminate unused plugins?
thanks
I have a Dvico Fusion HDTV 5 Gold. This card works great using the crappy dvico software, as I can tune both ATSC OTA in HDTV channels using my HD antenna, as well as setting it to tune digital and analog cable TV signal when I have it hooked up to my cable service. All that I have to do is select "antenna" or "cable" in the configuration options.
However, GBPVR (and other software) seems to only recognize that the card is capable of OTA ATSC tuning. How can I force it to use my local digital cable service?
This has got to be a FAQ, but I can't seem to figure out the right forum search term... apologies in advance for what may turn out to be a stupid question.
While watching DVDs from within GB-PVR, how do I request different subtitle and audio tracks? Are there key sequences?
I have DirMon2 running ShowAnalyzer to identify commercials/ads.
ShowAnalyzer creates three files-
a VPRJ file.
mpg.chapters.xml
mpg. text document
and places these files in the directory with the mpg file.
My question is--When I use GBPVR to re-play the mpg will it use these files and omit the commercials/ads during the re-play?
First I must say that GB-PVR and the EWA are brilliant. I truly enjoy streaming TV to my laptop, especially when laid up sick in bed.
However, I am having a reoccurring problem that I would love to have resolved. It just seems to happen at random, but I'll be watching a show and suddenly playback will stop (using VLC). Then I click to stop the stream and it gives me the server error dialog.
In total, this happened about 5 times tonight in about a 3 hour period. Other times it happens less frequently, so it seems a bit random.
Here is what I see in the log file after this happened the last time tonight:

I installed GB-PVR last month, so I am using the EWA build that came with it then. Would upgrading to the latest version resolve this issue?
Thank you very much for your help, and for all the hard work that goes into this project! It is greatly appreciated
Does anyone know how to get the Diamond PVR660USB Remote control to work with GBPVR? I did some forum searching and couldn't find anything. Any help is much appreciated.
I've been playing around with getting GBPVR to auto-transcode my recorded tv. I've found the section in the config file for configuring this, but can't seem to get the output I want.
What I'd like: - same or close quality I have with the mpeg-2 that comes off the hauppauge card, but a smaller file size.
The default settings for ffmpeg give a fairly blocky output.
Does anyone have some settings that will do this? I dont care if it takes a while for the processing to happen - I just want the final output to look good and take up less space on the drive.
I am totally new to this and I can't seem to get it to work. I setup my Ati theatre 550 pro with remote ok and signed up for zap2it service but all my channels are fuzzy. Just static. Updated the erg and can see whats on the channel just no picture all fuzz. Help please!!!!!

I have an MVP that is surplus to my needs that I'd like to sell. It's the wired version, Model 86001, Rev. D3A, s-video/composite out. Works fine. Comes with remote, power supply, and I'll throw in an s-video cable. I'd like $60 for it, including shipping (USA addresses only). PM me if interested.
