  drawing elements
Posted by: Ted the Penguin - 2007-03-07, 07:55 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

I want to consolidate the OSD skin.xml, so doing things like

Code:
<CompositeImage name="ChannelControls" size="70,35"> <DrawImage filename="pbnextchbtn.png" loc="0,0" size="35,35"/> <Element name="NextChannel" loc="0,0" size="35,35"/> <DrawImage filename="pbprevchbtn.png" loc="35,0" size="35,35"/> <Element name="PrevChannel" loc="35,0" size="35,35"/> </CompositeImage> <CompositeImage name="PlayControls" size="175,35"> <DrawImage filename="pbsbbtn.png" loc="0,0" size="35,35"/> <Element name="SkipBack" loc="0,0" size="35,35"/> <DrawImage filename="pbrwbtn.png" loc="35,0" size="35,35"/> <Element name="Rewind" loc="35,0" size="35,35"/> <DrawImage filename="pbpausebtn.png" loc="70,0" size="35,35"/> <Element name="Pause" loc="70,0" size="35,35"/> <DrawImage filename="pbffbtn.png" loc="105,0" size="35,35"/> <Element name="FastForward" loc="105,0" size="35,35"/> <DrawImage filename="pbsfbtn.png" loc="140,0" size="35,35"/> <Element name="SkipForward" loc="140,0" size="35,35"/> </CompositeImage> <CompositeImage name="TimeshiftControls" size="720,480"> <DrawImage filename="..\_res\osd_controls.png" size="720,20" loc="0,332"/> <DrawCompositeImage name="ChannelControls" loc="170,336" size="70,35"/> <DrawCompositeImage name="PlayControls" loc="260,336" size="175,35"/> <DrawImage filename="pbexitbtn.png" loc="458,334" size="74,35"/> <Element name="Exit" loc="458,336" size="74,35"/> </CompositeImage>

but it seems like I cant draw elements using "DrawCompositeImage" is there a way to do this?

also regarding the OSD, what is the point of the "-selected" images, is there some way that they are used?

  Question about Easy View
Posted by: cybrob - 2007-03-07, 07:07 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Sub,
99.12 looks great, thanks. My only question is about the Easy view, which is a great addon too. How do you actually populate it with the stuff for the kids: like their recording and channels? Maybe that was not the intended purpose but from what you said I thought that it was. All I get is a black screen with nothin on it. Thanks again for the assistance.

reminder looks wierd when starting in live TV
Posted by: Ted the Penguin - 2007-03-07, 06:31 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

ok so I am just playing around with skins, and specifically the reminder. when I start GB-PVR to live TV mode and have a reminder that will activate as soon as I start. the reminder does not always get shown, and when it does get shown the background is blue. this happens with VMR and overlay.

steps to reproduce

  • set GB-PVR to start in Live-TV mode
  • create a reminder for a show that will start soon
  • exit GB-PVR
  • Start GB-PVR while that showis playing

also, the reminderprompt ignores the size settings for watchbutton and cancelbutton, they are defined exactly as in the resumeprompt

Code:
<CompositeImage name="ResumePrompt" size="720,480"> <DrawImage filename="..\_res\popup_wide.png" size="520,165" loc="100,100"/> <DrawText text="You have previously watched part of this video. Either select Resume to continue playback, or select Restart to play the video from the beginning." loc="110,120" size="500,120" textStyle="OSDText" align="Center" visible="true"/> <Element name="ResumeButton" loc="230,215" size="130,38" /> <Element name="RestartButton" loc="360,215" size="130,38" /> </CompositeImage> <CompositeImage name="ReminderPrompt" size="720,480"> <!-- knows about @title, @description, @titleAndChannel, @channelName and @durationDescription --> <DrawImage filename="..\_res\popup_wide.png" loc="106,106" size="506,267"/> <DrawText text="The following show is about to start." loc="120,120" size="400,20" textStyle="OSDText" align="Left" visible="true"/> <DrawText text="@titleAndChannel" loc="135,150" size="500,20" textStyle="OSDText" align="Left" visible="true"/> <DrawText text="@durationDescription" loc="135,170" size="500,20" textStyle="OSDText" align="Left" visible="true"/> <DrawText text="@description" loc="135,200" size="500,100" textStyle="OSDText" align="Left" visible="true"/> <Element name="WatchButton" loc="230,315" size="130,38" /> <Element name="CancelButton" loc="360,315" size="130,38" /> </CompositeImage>

as you can see they are not 130 wide

P.S. please, dont ask about the shows... they are just in the top of the guide:p

What graphic card and remote to buy
Posted by: pvm - 2007-03-07, 06:08 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (4)

Can I have your advise please?

I have downloaded GBPVR and I would like to use it instead of MSMedia Center 2005.

I do not require a digital or analoge TV tuner as I am using only a Sky Satellite Digibox with a Sky card covering all required programs.

The digibox has a scart outlet only which could be converted to S Video or composite outlet to connect to the computers graphic and sound card.
I would like to use a remote control to access your program.

1. Which sound card?
2. which remote control transmitter/receiver ?
3. Do I need anything else?
4. Is Microsoft OEM Media Center Remote Control Receiver suitable? This sells at £ 20.00 in the UK, when available)

Many thanks for your help.

  BBCHD encoding
Posted by: frankmcg - 2007-03-07, 05:57 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Anyone know how I can set up my system to automatically re-encode BBCHD transmissions in the UK into something more manageable size wise? Or does this defeat the point of recording in HD in the first place?!

  DVBs sorting and numbering
Posted by: soccerdad - 2007-03-07, 05:02 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (10)

I am using zap2it for my epg source for my dvb-s stuff. It is really tough to map the transponders to the epg since the scan is in the order from the transponders which is pretty random. Would it be possible to be able to show the channel number information that comes off the transponder? It would also be great to be able to sort the list alphabetically. It would make it a lot easier to pick the channels out that way instead of randomly digging through a 400+ channel scan. Also being able to sort by video and radio would be cool.

As usual, thanks for the killer work you are doing on this.Smile

  Show analyzer help request
Posted by: Pochrist - 2007-03-07, 05:00 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (5)

I'm one of the unfortunate who can't figure out Comskip...

So I tried the idiot proof Show analyzer and I guess its not idiot proof cause I can't get it to work right.

I'm using SA with GB-PVR 99.12, Trail Mode for now, I downloaded the latest SA install file and installed it, then I used the "New to Show Analyzer" thread and followed the instructions:

Quote:
The decoders that you will need can be downloaded from the AviSynth Filter Collection(http://www.avisynth.org/warpenterprises/). Download the EvilMPASource by nic(http://www.avisynth.org/warpenterpri...l_20030617.zip) and the Mpegdecoder by nic(http://www.avisynth.org/warpenterpri...l_20030216.zip). Only the version in the Avisynth 2.5 column will work. Place those files in the same directory that contains ShowAnalyzer.dll. Now ShowAnalyzer will work.
If I read this corretly then the files I have to down load are EvilMPASource & Mpegdecoder. Right?

I un zipped them into the SA install directory.

I went into the GB-PVR config and under the processing tab set SA as the "Comercial skipping" program and checked off "Run during recording instead of after recording".

What else do I need to do?

I tested this twice, once I started GB-PVR start recording after the show had started and SA seemed to be doing its thing, The second time I tried to set up GB-PVR to record on a schedule. Once again SA was up and running. Yet both times I checked the mpg file and all the commercials were still there.

I'm lost:confused:

  remote control and xmltv
Posted by: ditrics - 2007-03-07, 04:55 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (5)

Hi!
I'm am new to gb-pvr. And I had some problems during installation but now I am neraly finished. It is an amazing program. I have few questions:
Is there any chance in the future to use a universal remote control with gb-pvr. I have a Kameleon 6 and I have bought it 2 or 3 years ago and it is a pretty good remote control. So if anybody have some suggestions please help.

The most time I spent with was the xmltv. Now it's almost perfect. There is a little thing that bothers me is that (I think it's the xmltv's fault) on most chennels the last programm starts for exaple at 22:30 and it takes until next day for exaple 10:30. And in the internet I there are athor programms during this time.

If anybody can help please write. Thx
Ditrics

  Congratulations!

I am a former Showshifter user whose copy of that software became unusable after a system crash (could not re-register it with SS now defunct). I had DL'ed GB-PVR several times in the last few years but had never been able to get it to work. Now, in desperate need of a new TV viewer, I tried it again this week and found it to work beautifully. In fact GB-PVR handles my PVR-150-MCE card better than Showshifter or any other PVR software I've used. Great colors and perfectly smooth text crawls (none of the choppiness I saw with other programs). So just a note of congratulations from a very satisfied new user.

  Dvb Epg
Posted by: AlanC - 2007-03-07, 02:29 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

My EPG display has screwed up. We have just had the pleasure of the return of ITV1 EPG data to Freeview after an absence of about two weeks. I became concerned that my 're-occurring' were not being asserted. When I looked in the EPG display I found that some entries appeared to be present many times, one on top of the other. When navigating it was possible to move up and down through the entry without trouble but left and right required the move key to be pressed repeatedly. A 'search' for one of these program names would give the identical entry more than once.
