I noticed something strange the other day. I had one programme scheduled to record and then tried to record another one at the same time (different channel of course). The second programme was scheduled to record daily, same time slot, same channel
Clearly this isn't possible for the first instance when there was a conflict but was okay for the other days. Yet gbpvr provided no error message, just didn't schedule the recording. I then changed the second recording option to Quick Record whereupon gbpvr then noted I had a conflict which I hadn't realised but was now able to correct.
Not sure if this is a bug in my setup or the way gbpvr works but it would be nice if the software provided some message as to why a recording cannot be scheduled in this situation (that is, one instance of a repeating recording cannot be done)
After a power failure, the PC clock is counting about 15-20% too fast, so that the PC clock advances one minute every 45-50 seconds. Since this is my GBPVR server though it makes it impossible to properly schedule recordings.
When I reboot and enter the BIOS setup screen it is counting at the correct rate, but once windows starts it is too fast.
The only way to correct this seems to be to shut down the computer, shut off the power supply for a few minutes, and restart. Then it seems to be working correctly.
Running Windows XP Pro, SP1, with an ECS motherboard, Duron 1600, not overclocked
Anybody seen this before? Is something going wrong that someday will fail completely? (and probably at the worst time, like right before my wife's program is set to record)
When I try to access "my programs" plugin with the Sassari skin( red or blue) it will open but with the original gbpvr blue skin. I have tried with the latest versions of Sassari availible in the Wiki but with no luck
The task.png is loaded from the sassari_red\my programs directory but everything else seem to be loaded from the default gbpvr blue skin directory
My Programs is version 3 beta1.
Anyone have a solution cause I really like this skin ?
I just installed a DELL pc with a clean W2k SP4.
Configuration: CPU: Pentium IV 1800mHz
Tv Capture: Hauppage PVR350
Soundcard: Soundblaster Live 24BIT
Mem: 1GB
Videocard: Nvidia FX5200 128mb
When I choose live TV with GVR-PVR the images and sounds doing strange things. Sometimes the sound is afther the image, sometimes is the image before the sound and sometimes both stop for 0,5 sec.
I use no videodecoder and audio rendering is for Directsound: Soundblaster Live 24BIt.
I don't have this problem wen I use WinTV2000 (default program from Hauppage)
Now that I'm getting the client to work (only recordings BTW, still doesn't work for me for live TV, but that's a different story), I wanted to install one client on my machine upstairs, but also one for my daughter so she can see her recordings in her room.
However, only for her client, I want her not to be able to delete recordings. In case she presses something by mistake.
Even more so - I would like to be able to stop her from watching specific shows (let's say there's a recording of her show, next to Prison Break or the Sopranos...).
Are those two options available, and if not, can the make it to future features?
If you have a bugzilla or other bug reporting system, I'll report this...
I was removing GB-PVR (current version) from Windows XP SP2 and am getting errors from Control Panel->Add Remove Programs. The installer/removal program would run almost all the way through and then give me two popups - error 2503 and error 2502. On the third iteration of trying to remove the program, it finally removed it from the list of programs without error.
I removed it because I found that it would not start properly after starting ArcSoft TotalMedia, which came with the Diamond XtremePvr 660USB. That device also has a FM radio, which I use. TotalMedia can access the FM, while GB-PVR can't...
Hi!
I'm beta-testing microsoft's new "windows home server". Today I removed the original harddrive from my gbpvr-serverpc, installed a new harddrive and installed WHS, the hauppuage software and restored my gbpvr-directory. As far as i tested until now everythings works ok. But WHS is in english. I changed the regional settings to Netherlands/dutch but the date and time on the skin-screens stay in american format m/dd/year and the time in 12hrsAM/PM. How can I change them?
