I just purchased a HAUPPAUGE 1682 Wintv-Quadhd USB Four HD ATSC Digital TV Tuners for USB 3.0 W/PIP
 It is great because I have a noisey motherboard (B450M ASRock PCIe4.0) with a 1Tb M2 drive which is also PCIe4.0,
The problem is I can not set it up as the highest priority for recording. The shows right now drop out because the MB affects the internal Hauppauge quad tuner card. I have enclosed the zip file for your review. Thank you in advance.

I think if I am right you are responsible for getting the imbedded CC enabled automatically in Kodi nightlies.

I just had to come here after updating and seeing it working. Thank you so much.

Is there still any hope that if there are two subtitle streams it will default to the second one?

Hi all,

I have a strange thing happening but haven't been able to troubleshoot it yet :
I have a recording set for a weekly show on an IPTV channel.
The recording apparently starts with no issues, but it seems to stop after a few seconds/minutes.
NextPVR still says its recording but the ts file does not increase in size.
I've tried waiting for the recording to end just to make sure it wasnt been spooled elsewhere and then dumped into the ts file at the end, but no luck there either.

The setup is as follows :
Running on Debian 10 linux - Kernel 4.19
Used the .deb helper for install
Using vanilla config.xml
IPTV only (no tuner cards) - Using M3U file for channel info and xmltv file for EPG

Live TV works fine on all channels, including the one I'm trying to record on.
If I launch a recording manually on that channel, that works fine as well.

Even stranger : The show I'm recording is replayed a 6 hours later... so when the first recording failed, I simply deleted it. The scheduler is set to record any occurence to it tried to record the same episode a few hours later but it also failed again (ts file stopped growing after 7mb)
I've looked though every log I could find, both in /var/opt/nextpvr and journalctl but had no luck there... there didnt seem to much in the logs in fact.

Is there a way to increase the verbosity of logs somewhere ? 
Out of desperation I currently opted to stop the service and run "/opt/dotnet/dotnet /opt/nextpvr/system/NextPVRServer.dll" manually while redirecting the stdout output to a log file I could look into later.
I've got the same show scheduled to record in a couple of hours and am hoping to capture something there.

To be clear, the machine has plenty of disk space and ram. There are no particular indications of OOM or any other crash information in dmesg (or any other log I could find for that matter).

I'm admit to being at a bit of a loss .... any tips will be greatly appreciated :-)

It has a very good content description, that are correctly displayed as well as the scheduled time.

However it also includes Artwork, Category, Rating and Star notation, but none of those data are displayed in the nextPVR EPG / Guide page.
These data are also not available to Kodi.
Could it be possible to solve this ?

I go the issue with my TV series not recoding all episodes regardless of whether I have recorded them already but now everything is recording twice in the same timeslot so it is chewing up twice as much space and using more resources.  I have no idea what I have done.  I have had this happen before on a here and there basis but now it seems to be a mistake in scheduling that is recording everything twice yet I have no idea what I did wrong.

I am testing Kodi+NextPVR as a replacement solution to Windows Media Center for my HTPC, since Win 7 end of life.
Therefore I installed NextPVR on my HTPC currently still in win 7 pro 64 bits, beside WMC, to test Kodi+nextPVR before upgrading the HTPC to Win10.

I lived in Paris, I receive the DVB-T channels directly from the Eiffel Tower to my antenna. I use a Hauppauge Dual-HD USB winTV stick, providing 2 DVB-T tuners (as well as 2 DVB-C tuners unused). In WMC I perfectly receive 35 TV channels in Full HD, and 3 additional test UHD channels are detected but unusable by WMC.

Now the issue is with NexPVR: I had no problems to configure the DUAL-HD USB devices in NextPVR, but the result of the channel scan is not complete, even when using the "All Countries - All Regions" frequency preset. I created also a new preset file for Paris Eiffel tower, with only the 8 frequencies really broadcasted by the Eiffel tower, to experiment and have a faster scanning, but the result is exactly the same. The most strange point is about the channel missing, I got only 32 channels instead of 38, but there are 2 cases :
- one frequency is completely undetected by WinPVR, this is the 506 MHz, broadcasting in France BFM TV, C8, Cnews, Cstar, Gulli
- one frequency is "partially detected" by WinPVR, this is the 498 MHZ, broadcasting the 3 UHD test channels: NextPVR has detected only one UHD test, the UHD3.
The other frequencies are perfectly detected: 482, 530, 546, 562, 586, 642 MHz and I got all their channels

On the same HTPC, WMC is able to detect the 506 MHz frequency and to play BFM TV and the others channels without any visual quality problems.
Connected to the same antenna as my HTPC, my new UHD Panasonic TV is also receiving perfectly the 38 channels, including the 3 UHD tests.

How to investigate and solve the issue ?
(I could help further to provide an updated frequency preset list for France, the one provided currently are completely outdated).

I'm not sure if I have done something or am doing something wrong but I cannot get the TV series I want to record to do so properly.  I want to record all episodes regardless of whether I have recorded them before or not and I cannot get them to schedule.  I use the advanced button and select "all" as to record all the shows whether they are a repeat or not and NextPVR still only schedules episodes I have not recorded before.  I need to record all regardless of status because I am using a new compression routine and want to save space on my drives but currently I have to remember every evening to look through channels for tomorrow and manually select all the episodes of the shows I want.  I'd really like to correct this.  

Any help would be appreciated.  I've attached the logs below if they help.  Thanks

I have a Hauppauge PVR but no WinTV. I've installed the drivers and it shows up in device manager as 'Hauppauge HD PVR capture device'. I have a CCTV camera (known to be working) connected to the composite input. If I go into the NextPVR web app, it shows it as 'Local Recorder (Hauppauge HD PVR Crossbar)'.

What do I need to do to record from the CCTV? All the menus and documentation seem to be referring to 'channels' but I can't see how that applies here. Is it possible to use the PVR with NextPVR?

I tried to search for channels, but I have an issue with my TV cards. See loggings below.

I am also using TV mosaic which is still working ok (still installed but disabled the service for it).
