GBPVR works fine on my Pinnacle 310i with the DVR-MS BDA multiplexer, but I'd prefer to record in MPEG-2 format.
The BDA Mux checker reports that it can see the Intervideo Mux:
Found: InterVideo Multiplexer
FILE: F:\Program Files\InterVideo\Common\Bin\ivimux.ax
VERSION: 3.0.79.81
However, when I try and use this the recorder crashes, so badly I have to restart my system.
Is the version of the multiplexer acceptable? If not, what software do I have to update (e.g. WinDVR, WinDVD) to get the right version?
Alternatively, is there a good third party MPEG-2 multiplexer you can recommend?
I live in the UK and have a Hauppauge Nova-T 500 (digital only) card. About half of the Freeview TV recordings that I make go out of sync when they are played back. I have searched for other posts about this issue but am still not sure what would be the most effective way to troubleshoot this.
At the moment I am running my recordings through Videoredo's Quick Stream Fix which does a good job fixing the sync problems.
I would appreciate any tips on what changes would be worth trying so as to avoid the Quick Stream Fix step if poss!
apologies if this has been mentioned before but i can't get started with the program because it won't setup! I come up with the an error 1935.

I tried to setup zprocess yesterday to run after recording from postprocessing.bat because my old postprocessing seems to have gotten messed up.
I want the following to happen:
-recording stops (works)
-run comskip
-make backup
-run comclean (i'd prefer videoredo but no biggie)
-transcode to xvid
-delete original
-delete backup after three days
Needs to run automatically.
I put the following line in PostProcessing.bat
Quote:call "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Third Party\ZProcess\ZProcess" "%~f1" comskip comclean transcode auto
The log file I get from zprocess for two shows last night is:
As you can see its failing comskip and not transcoding to xvid. I set the settings in zprocess when i opened it and saved the 2avi info I want. This is trying to use ffmpeg but once I have that working i'll switch to mencoder.
Furthermore, the folder with The O.C. has all the comskip files written for the show so I dont know why it thinks it didn't work.
Ok, system specs are
Intel 2.66 CPU
512k Ram
Nvida 16mg Video Card
WinTV PVR-150
MVP tuner
I've been looking at the forums and have tried a lot of other suggestions for the last 3 nights, but no luck. I've been running the Hauppauge MVP in it's native mode for a while and I've been able to watch video's (.avi) without any issues. The videos play absolutely clearly, DVD quality actually. I installed GBPVR so that I could turn the box into a video recorder and since then all the same video's that I played are heavily pixelated. I've tried GPBVR in both Overlay and VMR7 (my card won't play VMR9). I started with the default video decoders, tried NVIDIA, Avivo, Mainconcept (Hauppauge) and no change. When I stopped GBPVR and restarted the Hauppauge services, all the videos played crystal clear again.
I tried the Zprocess add-on, but I don't think that is exactly what I'm looking for, it didn't help anyway.
The fact that they play fine when I use the Hauppauge interface and not when I use GBPVR leads me to believe that I don't have something configured properly there, as opposed to bad cables, bad hardware or something like that. Any ideas out there?
This isn't a huge deal but was bugging me. When I use ML2 with the default (not ML2 panel) screensaver i get the following.
In the main menu with the visualisation running in the small screen, when the screen saver is due to kick in GB makes the visualisation full screen - normal.
However when it comes to change track the visualisation disappears and I get the default screensaver. Anyone else had this?
Today marks my two year anniversary married to GB-PVR. It's been a for the most part good journey. A few times, we got the bugs, but with Dr. Sub and the rest of the on call physicians, we got healing. I do have to confess that on two occasions I cheated on GB, but I quickly saw the folly of my ways. I am not proud of those moments...
At times, my wife has found herself jealous of my relationship, but when she has the remote in her hand and scrolling through the menus, she quickly forgives me.
More than two years ago I was lonely. Today I have a hobby, a friend, a relationship. Happy Anniversary to me!
(If you would like to donate a gift in honor of this anniversary, don't hesitate... you know what we need
I searched and read a few posts, but I just want to clarify--
I just upgraded to a HDTV and am now looking to add a HD tuner card to GBPVR.
I would like to set that tuner to only be available for the HD and digital channels, and for that tuner to always be the first one tried before going to an analog card.
the way to give it priority is to make it capture source #1, right??
also--
the HD and digital channels are on different frequencies than the analog channels
(I am sure they are like that almost everywhere)
is there a way to tell GBPVR that the HD card recording channel 102-9 is the same as the analog recording channel 12??
