GB-PVR seems to freeze at a random time while I'm watching a recorded show. The only thing I'm able to do is use the Task Manager to force GB-PVR to shut down.
I'm running Version 0.99.5 with ComSkip, BleepBloop, SuDoKu, Weather, TV Listings and Search Guide.
The Computer is a P3 866, 512MB, 40Gig(Progs) & 80 Gig(Shows) HDs, Hauppauge 150 & 150MCE, Hauppauge Remote, GeForce 5200 FX.
I can't get DVD's to play - commercial or burned. I tried various combinations of nvidia and cyberlink decoders and DVD navigators with no luck. Baically I get a black screen whenever I try to play a DVD. I can play the DVD's fine using the PowerDVD software or WMP10.
Any suggestions? I'm using PowerDVD 6 and WMP10 if that's important...
1. How do I get rid of the title bar in the full screen viewing mode?
2. How do I get the osd to respond? I want it invisable until I need to use it, but then I want to be able to get to it as needed. Right now, it never shows up. Help please.
My GB-PVR v0.99.5 / PVR-150 / MVP is working great, and I have always had the GB-PVR software installed on my D: drive (along with most other non-operating-system files on my Windows 2000 computer).
I recently noticed and deleted the empty C:\Program Files\devnz directory, but then I found that every time I right-clicked on the "G" system tray icon, the GB-PVR software would try installing itself again. After much disk chatter, it seems to have recreated the empty C:\Program Files\devnz directory, and now the right-click works normally.
The moral of the story seems to be: If you have the GB-PVR software on a drive other than the C: drive, don't delete the empty C:\Program Files\devnz directory.
So, I may be purchasing a new HDTV tonight.
A Westinghouse 37" LCD.
This tv was on sale about a month ago for $999 but they were sold out at the time. I got a raincheck (with $50 off the sale price, i love the in-stock guarantee ) and they called me yesterday saying they had more in and were saving one for me for 5 days.
Does anyone have one of these sets? How are they? I have read many reviews on them and most people are generally happy with them, but i was wondering if anyone here has had any personal experience..
I have a quick question about the remotes. Will any IR remote, especially one with the learning capabilities work with the 150 IR. The reason I ask is I want to purchase a remote that will do it all.....turn on/off the tv and does it all if you know what I mean. Also is there a way to turn off/on the GBPVR box with the remote(either the 150 remote or a universal remote). Thanks in advance.
Not sure if this is acceptable or legal, or if Sub would let us, but I thought this might be a great community to promote some hardware circulation.
For instance, I desperateley need a Wireless MVP for my bedroom, and have a Dual Tuner Hauppauge PVR-500 going to waste in an anti-static bag. If someone had a Wireless MVP they weren't using, but needed a Tuner... you get the idea.
I'm curiuos to see what others think of this idea, and Sub's feedback of course.
I'm not really sure how to wordk the title... Basically I want to "save" keywords in a list and get a pop up when one of my words matches something in the desc. of a show.
For example: I am a fan of Supercross (indoor motocross racing) and it isn't usually on at the same time every week and the title of the show is generic, its not titled "Anaheim Supercross".
If I could set a list of "keywords" like motocross, supercross etc... and have GB-PVR pop up a menu that there is something in the guide. That would be AWESOME!
That I know of GB-PVR can't do this, and I don't know of a plugin that can either.
Thanks sub!
