I have a Cyberlink remote control that came with my ATI 550 pro. Since installing WinXP64 on my gaming/development machine I have lost the use of some of the buttons. I googled but can't seem to see how the r/c works. I have not found or installed any drivers for it but can't find out how Windows' uses it.
Any suggestions on what I could do to get all the buttons working?
Pentium D 2.8ghz
2 gigs of ram
150 gig hd in two partitions 20 for OS and 130 for GBPVR
6800 Geforce 256mb
Hauppauge 250
Sound Blaster Live 24bit
So far I have been playing with the following decoders, Purevideo, GPL, and Intervideo.
GPL looks best on my system but purevideo isn't bad either. When either of these codecs is used and then the computer is left watching live tv for about 20 to 30 minutes gbpvr will either crash or crash and I'll get a windows xp blue screen saying an illegal operation was performed which resets my computer.
Every decoder I tries leads to the same results though some decoder and audio codecs will bring it about sooner then others. Any info on how to stop this would be greatly appreciated, I'm running the latest drivers for everything.
I have had a few GBPVR crashes lately, and the seem to be pointing at the weather plugin. If anyone who truly understands these thigns could look at the attached log-file it may make things clearer..
Before I get an LCD, which might be some time yet, is there anything I can do about a green spot on the crt screen that seems to only come on when the mvp is on? This isn't strictly a GBPVR thing but I figure you guys will have some ideas.
Is it a simple case of upgrading the cable? I haven't managed to find a premium version of the one here:
I am trying to get my PVR set up and have got a Hauppauge 350 installed. I am using the built-in video out options to export to my TV. I am able to play live TV on my PC and export to my TV nicely when using the WinTV software that came with the card. However, when I try to use GBPVR I cannot watch live TV. I get the message on my PC screen "Video is playing back using TV out" over a black background. And on my TV, the GBPVR menu and controls appear but behind them is just black... no live TV.
I can play back stuff I have recorded thur play videos.
Also, if I disable the hardware decoder device in the playback tab of config I can watch live TV on the PC, but it won't export to the TV??
I have tried different video decoders and settings... does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks!
I have been having problems with GBPVR crashing (v.99.5). It does not happen when I am using it so I can't reproduce any events that may have caused it. The only other thing new I have done since upgrading to v.99.5 is install a new DVD drive/burner. My log files are attached. I looked at some of them but did not see anything that stood out.
Hey guys. A LONG time ago when I was using an old ATI TV Wonder card, there was a bit of software that let you watch tv while browsing. The video display was in a kind of toolbar type deal within the browser. It was kind of like when you open your history and it displays on the left side of the browser window and the right side is the web content.
Are there any plugins available that let you embed a window inside of your browser similar to what I describe? I'm sure I could just open the history and resize the GBPvr window to fit it and use the 'always on top' function, but I thought it would be a shot in the dark to see if anyone knew of a more elegant solution. What I really need is a second monitor!
Very minor....But pressing the "liveTV" button on the remote used to take in into live TV on the last channel watched. Doesn't seem to do anything on the last release.
