I have a very good IPTV provider, but it updates the list of channels constantly, some channels enter and others are deleted, when I update via the update button m3u the new channels are included in the Iptv Device but the deleted channels remains in the channel list, it would be very cool if NextPvr offered the option to delete channels not present in the list after the update.
Is launching an external player supported in the NextPVR add-on for Kodi 18.8? I can launch an external player using Files but I don't see the option in the context menu in the NextPVR add-on.
Hi All,
Is there any way to change the 'channel header style' in the web app for v5?
As you can see its a little messy for longer channel names and in some case the logo seems to be quite small?
FYI... I've edited the config.xml to show only icon's for the desktop app but it doesn't reflect in the web app and TBH i'd prob use different settings in the web version anyway..
Not sure whether to post this here or over at Emby, so i'm doing both.. but I'm having issues getting Emby to be able to connect with NextPVR. I'm on the latest server beta 4.6.0.1 using NextPVR plug-in 3.6.0.0 provided by emveepee and NextPVR 5.0.8.
Basically on the surface, it looks ok, but despite multiple guide refreshes , server restarts, it wont reflect new channel changes or allow playback/streaming of TV data. It also cant access recording schedules. i can see recorded content. Interestingly the guide data is up to date for the channels that have not changed. I have attached the logs for both Emby and NextPVR. in the Emby log, it shows the following, which seems to indicate Emby cant authenticate/communicate with NextPVR due to a version error?

Greetings, I just learned about NPVR and it looks very exciting to me. Unfortunately, after scanning the channels on my HDHomeRun Extend, when I click on a channel I get this error message:
Error starting transcode: error: Internal Server Error
I have installed 64 bit ffmpeg (from lame.buanzo.org) but when I open Activity Monitor it does not appear on the list of running apps. Does ffmpeg need to be manually attached to NPVR in some way? Or does it need to be launched from terminal?
I've been having long running issues with v5 that I did not exerpeince on v4 yet cannot solve. Although I've been using NextPVR for years there are many things I don't know nor understand so you might have to take things slowly!
First and most annoying is a delay starting the TV tuners. If I open either NextPVR desktop or KODI (I normally use KODI) before the tuners appear in the backend status both programs claim they cannot communicate with the backend. Even then the tuners are available KODI cannot recognise this and I have to close and reopen. The time it takes for the tuners to appear varies, but perhaps 30s - 1min is common. This means I cannot autostart KODI upon entering windows.
I believe I've include the logfile (logs-20201003-1650)
When changing channels in KODI it quickly buffers which can take ~5-10s before it plays again normally. It usually does this quite quickly after changing channel but is not a given. The video appears fine and audio in sync before it buffers, so not quite sure what it is doing. I've played with the various time shift, chunk sizes and prebuffer but nothing made a differnce.
NextPVR desktop just takes a while to change channel, then might have random stutters through a program. I can't see any options with NextPVR to alter or adjust this.
I believe this is included in logfile (logs-20201003-1656). It should incude a channel change in NextPVR and KODI.
Can anyone help shed some light on these issues?
Ta for any help in advance!
I am using Kodi 18 on my NVidia Shield with NPVR v5.0.8 on my server. Strange problem that when I use the "Real Time" setting for streaming Live TV, I only get stereo output when watching live programs. If I set it to "Time Shift", I get 5.1 AC3 as expected. It seems like it might be unnecessarily transcoding with the Real Time setting, however, it shows both audio tracks in Kodi when I go to modify the Audio settings during playback (English AC3 5.1 and Spanish AC3 stereo) so that suggests it is not being transcoded. Any ideas? Thanks.

Was thinking it could be really handy to be able to see the EPG Source... i.e what provider for each channel, I'm lucky to receive broadcast from two different repeaters, so i use two different XML files for different channels. on the screen below there seems to be enough real estate to see which provider/xml file each channel is mapped to...

hi, I am running nextpvr on a windows 10 (x64) with multiple users accounts.
one user account with admin rights and the others as standard users.
after installing the standard users do not see nextpvr in start menu and nextpvr tray is not loaded as they are located under the admin users account (xxx).
I move :
NextPVR Tray shortcut
from C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
To -C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp
NextPVR Client and NextPVR Web App shortcuts
from C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
To - C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
this makes the shortcut available to all users.
thus the wish is for this to be reflected during install.
