I am having problems when recording two shows using 2 WinTV PVR2 USB2 (model 941) tuners.
The problem I am having is that one show will record just fine, but the other show will record only a white screen. The audio shows up just fine on the second recording but the the recording will only have whiteness. I'm not sure which tuner is giving me this problelm or if the problem is related to another issue I posted earlier: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=20505
I hope someone can help me out here because I really have no idea what the issue is.
I tried several times to download the ubustream plugin from the wiki, and every time i get this error ?
Code:
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /var/www/gbpvr.com/pmwiki/cookbook/downloadman.php on line 56
with this link
As i got a new ISP since a few day i'm not 100% sure it a website related problem but i did not have any other error with other websites i used to visite
Hi,
I just setup a second WinTV PVR USB2 on my computer. Both of my tuners are WinTV PVR USB2 model 941. The problem I am having is that the DeviceTypeCheck application does not work for detecting this product. I assume that the first tuner I installed will be "Device #1" and the one I just installed will be "Device #2" but I just wanted to see if anyone could tell me for sure what the general convention is for Hauppauge TV cards.
Also does anyone know how to find out each card's device number manually if this application isnt working?
Not sure what the $^&# is going on but comclean all of the sudden started removing the mpg file after it cleans it! No errors in the logs, just reports that it cleaned the file. So any channel I have set up to run comclean records, cleans, then deletes my recordings! Anyone else have this problem?
I love this program, I really appreciate that you made it. But I seem to have a lot of problems getting it up and running smoothly.
First, and most important, the program still seems to be locking up. I'll be watching a program while something is recording, or even just watching something recorded earlier, and the video stops. The audio will keep going for a while, skipping occationaly, normally until I hit back or some other button at which time the computer normally restarts. I know that this is most likely a driver issue, but can't seem to get anything to work. I'm using VM9 custom, tried overlay, and a few different drivers. If someone could recommend one, might be a good place to start.
Second, the quality seems to have issues. I wouldn't mention it except that it only seems to be on certain channels. One channel comes in very grainy and another has moving diagonal lines. Lately NBC has had moving vertical lines. I tried plugging the same cable directly into the TV and the channels were fine.
The last one is a little weird. I turned on my pvr today and on the TV guide channels 10 and 11 are not listed. I tried doing a search for a program on 10, and it came up and accepted the record request, not sure if it's going to work yet. So I went to watch tv from the TV guide and tuned to channel 10 and 11 and they worked, but still didn't show up in the guide. So I went into the config and tried changing a few things (deactivating the channels and reactivating them, making them favorites and then not) and then tried restarting the computer. When it started up this time the channels were still not there, but now I couldn't tune to them either.
Sorry to make this post so long, but I'm getting increasingly frustrated. I'm really looking forward to having this thing work how I'd like. Thanks.
1. When I watch TV through Gbpvr the picture is kind of "edgy" or "pixly" what can that be?
2. I tryed to use a splitter before putting my cable in my tv-card so I can watch TV when I record.. but then the picture get not as sharp as before, its more "noice" in the picture. What can I do to make that better?
There are new drivers for the AverMedia A180 ATSC card at http://www.aver.com/mpd/support/download/a180wb.html. They are listed as beta Vista drivers, but work fine on XP (no good reason why I installed them, just felt like updating).
Anyway, the new drivers require changes to the bda.ini file for GB-PVR to find the card. The new code worked for me:
[AVerMedia A180]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
FILTER_TUNER=AVerMedia BDA ATSC Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=AVerMedia BDA Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
