Ok, I feel really stupid asking this, but where do I get the GBPVRPublic dll? The tutorial says that it should exist, and the wiki doesnt seem to have it anywhere.
I installed 98 from the start, was this in a previous verision but not the latest download? Did I miss something?
I frequently record political commercials with my GBPVR so that I can burn them to disk and share them with others. I use software to edit an entire show or newscast down to just the commercial I want. However, a 30 second commercial is still several hundred Megs in size and I have to burn it to a CD or DVD which has to get delivered to others.
Can anyone recomend some software that will allow me to do the following:
Edit GBPVR MPEG files by cutting out parts I don't need
Save these files in other formats for viewing on the internet - perhaps RealPlayer, Quicktime, Windows Media
Reduce the screen size and resolution so that these files can be either emailed or uploaded to something like UTube?
Or, are there any other creative ways of getting to the same end result?
I am using a router with an internal firewall in my small home network. But I have problem to access the web server from other computers within the network. The computer with gbpvr are having ip 192.168.1.3. If I write http://192.168.1.3:7647/gbpvr/Login.aspx
on the gbpvr computer, I comes to the login screen. But when trying from the other computers in the network, the page cannot be found.
I have tried to shut down/turned off all firewalls without change.
Do I have to do something else? Shouldn't it work?
I've got My programs set up and running with FCE Ultra, Zsnes, Mame32, and project 64. Zsnes seems to be giving the best experience because I was able to map one of the joystiq buttons to "exit" and it drops me back to gbpvr where I can use the remote. With the other emulators I wasn't able to find a similar setting. Is there a way to map either one of the remote buttons, or a joystiq button to always exit the emulator, but perhaps not just "alt-f4" since I might accidentlally drop out of gbpvr(minor issue if that's the only solution).
What have other dones as a solution for this? Do you just always have the keyboard handy for exiting/special keys?
This may be said somewhere, but I can't seem to find it in the config app. How can I change the definition for the bitrates for the High, Medium and Low bitrate settings?
I'm about to post some code. Just build it, stick it in the plugin directly, and run config to initialize it or whatever. It doesn't need a skin file.
So anyway, here are some steps to take to demonstrate the problem:
From the main men, select Interference (this is the new plugin).
Black screen. Alternates between "true" and "false." About every second. What we'd expect.
Press [back/exit] (or escape). Now you're back at the main menu.
Select Live TV. Wait for it.
Now press [menu] (not sure what the keyboard equivalent is). Now you're back at the main menu, with the Live TV playing "in the background."
Now select the Interference plugin. The screen never refreshes. Stays the same. And yet, render() is called.
Press [back/exit] to return to the Main Menu, close Live TV, then go back into the Main Menu and run the Interference plugin again. It alternates, as expected.
I am running Vista Beta 2 with a PVR-150. I am able to get the GBPVR interface up and running fine. My problem is everytime I run video (it works audio and images), either live TV or recorded TV, I cannot leave the video playback. When I click exit the last frame just freezes and I do not see the menu. Notably if I start viewing in a window try to exit then increase the window size I can see the menu anywhere in the new larger window that was not used by the video. See the diagram below where V is the video and M is menu.

Hello all I have been searching th forums and I cannot find any info on how to install the V-Box 150. It works with beyond tv, and gbpvr works wiht my hauppauge 150, but when i try to add a new capture source the vbox is not there, all i have done so far is plug in the vbox, install the drivers off the cd, and install beyond tv.
thanks

I have my small c: for OS and misc programming, and a second drive "F:" for video recording. I am now planning to add a third drive, also for video recording.
I believe GBPVR will only allow me to specify a single drive for video, so I must install the third drive and "merge" (the correct term escapes me at the moment) the two drives under the same "F:" drive letter, right?
If anyone could give me some insight on how that's done - in XP pro - I'd appreciate it. I'm fairly able in XP, so I only need the highlights to get me started.
Also, I'm wondering if the "merge" process requires all the data on the origional drive to be lost, or can it been done without effecting data - recordings.
