Press FFWD/REW and no sound! (v0.98.8)
Posted by: cverheuv - 2006-09-19, 03:54 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi, I've been working on setting up a HDTV for the last 3 weeks. I have everything working great under 0.98.8 and an analog tuner. My goal was to get everything perfect, then attempt the digital cable box for the final step. I didn't want to mess with Grinder and USB-UIRT right out of the gate. Anyway.

I'm using the PVR-350 to capture at a high bit rate = constant 8,000kb (still tweaking this part).

I then use NVIDIA Purevideo to playback via the GEFORCE 7300 GS using VMR9 Custom Rendering.
Video Decoder: NVIDIA Video Rendering
Audio Decoder: NVIDIA Audio Rendering
Audio Render: DirectX

The only issue I have left to resolve before attacking a digital input signal is that when I'm playing something back and I use the FFWD (not skip) I lose sound completely. I have to stop the video, and restart it to get sound back. If I skip ahead - no problem If I press Pause and unPause - No problem. The minute I Press FFWD or REW and I lose all sound doesn't matter if it is live tv (timeslipped) or a recorded file.

I've cycled through all the Audio Codec and Rendering combos. No luck. Any suggestions? Chris

How to play dvr-ms file during xp crash?
Posted by: acegolfer - 2006-09-19, 03:16 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I was recording hdtv but my system hanged. After rebooting, I can see the show but can't play it. Does anyone know how to play such file? It doesn't have to be GBPVR as long as I can see upto where it recorded.

  Updated show search plug-in posted

I don’t remember what exactly I changed, but the version on my machine was two months newer than the one on the wiki, so I figured it was time to post an update…

  Show Channel Numbers
Posted by: madcat - 2006-09-19, 02:31 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Ok, so all the recent talks about utils for d/l channel icons got me interested again, and I got most of the channels for my provider (none of the automated tools even came close).

However, I do like seeing the channel number as well (this is both in the main guide and in the mini-guide).
Is it possible to see the number besides the icon?

  ShowSearch Broken?
Posted by: 23skidoo - 2006-09-19, 12:57 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (5)

I'd love to give this one a try. Is there some configuration value I need to set?

It says on the wiki page that it's been updated to support SQL Lite, but when I just try to create a new instance of a ShowSearchTask from a test app, the is what I get (and of course the button is never displayed when regular old GB-PVR tries to load it).

  Wierd Audio Issues
Posted by: ydekmekji - 2006-09-18, 11:41 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I've been having a new kind of audio issue. When GBPVR starts, the WAVE volume might be high, but GBPVR is silent. When I press up or down on the volume it goes to where it's supposed to go.

Also, when listening to music, each song starts out loud, and I have to turn the volume down, but then the next song, it's as if it resets and starts out loud.

I'm not sure if it's related, but I use AC3 filter.

  Priority Recording crashes since upgrade
Posted by: eoren1 - 2006-09-18, 11:12 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi,
Recently upgraded gbpvr and have had endless crashes and hangs.
The only one I haven't been able to fix so far is PriorityRecording.
I have it set to start at 7pm and wake the maching and update the EPG.
I get the following error window message:

PriorityRecording.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Service
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled

Process id=0x994 (2452), Thread id=0x6a4 (1700)

Ok to terminate, Cancel to debug (but can't debug)

I have gbpvr 0.98.8 on a desktop with Windows XP sp 2 and Hauppage 150. Using Nod32 (already added all exe files in gbpvr directory to the excluded list in imon) and Kerio Personal Firewall.

Help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks.
E

I'm not sure if this is the place to post it, but I was recommending gbpvr to a friend and he downlaoded the software and started it up and in the "start config"
There's a link that says that they can visit the forum. It's a deadlink at
