There are actually different symptoms that may not be related to this issue, but I've been working around them. One is inability to edit file, and the other is extremely slow editing. I'm able to sometimes edit file in Microsoft Movie Maker if it doesn't work in Power Director. Ok, I'm hoping someone can point me to solutions to these two issues, but this thread is for my primary issue at hand, which is the time shown in the length field of the file is not the correct length. Most of the time it shows a longer length than it is. Whenever that happens, the file will play (in Media Player), but if I click to advance past where the unknown problem is, it freezes. It also prevents me from editing in Power Director, but the last 2 files that did this I was able to edit in Movie Maker. I don't like Movie Maker because it takes 3 hours to process a file but only 30 min. in Power Director.
I record OTA TV movies and edit them in Power Director, which usually works very well. I have tried to fix this problem using TS Doctor and some other "fixers" but although TS Doctor does correct the length time, it doesn't correct the issue where I can't edit in Power Director. TS Doctor tells me there are no errors. I assume that .ts is the only file type that NPVR records to, as I wasn't able to find any option to that.
I have been using NPVR v. 4.2.5 since Jan. This issue started showing up in the past month, even though I haven't changed anything on my system. Perhaps I just started noticing it, because lately I've seen about 10 files not editable, in which I did some experimentation to try to fix them. I end up re-recording most of them, as OTA fortunately rebroadcasts most movies on a later date.
My system is an HP Pavilion with Windows 8.1 Pro. I'm using KWorld tuners. Log files are attached. I was not able to figure out why 2 of the files would not zip, as they were "in use" by some unknown process, so they are included as "copy" of the originals.
Hi. I've been using NPVR for about a year and it has worked quite well up until now. All of the sudden, I can't watch or record live tv. I get the error "unable to find capture device". Under settings, it can see my 2 hauppauge WinTV tuners, and they show up under device manager in Win 10.
Normally I would just uninstall and reinstall, but I had a really hard time getting the guide to work (finally did it with zap2), so I don't want to have to figure that out again.
New to the world of NextPVR, but loving it so far.
I make use of DNS4ME, and some channels Matt Huisman's Playlist. (http://i.mjh.nz/nz/raw-tv.m3u8. These work fine with VLC.
I am subscribed to another IPTV service, which works fine with NextPVR, but the NZ channels refuse to play. NextPVR would be great, as I can record shows due to the huge time difference.
Hi- I in the process of getting an NextPVR / Kodi set up running on a Windows10 pc to replace my very old WMC system.
I had something that seemed to be close to fully functional using 5.0.4, , but then thought I would upgrade to NPVR 5.0.5 and since then live TV will work for about 2 minutes and then freeze. Presumably a buffering problem. Can anyone advise me what to do?
Hi I currently use V4 (win10) with no issues, i have built a new win2019 server for V5. I have used a hauppauge usb stick from my V4 server to try it out.
V5 works fine, records ok, except i am missing bbc channels
With V5 i am unable to detect BBC channels , i use the emley moor transmitter and i have tried various combinations all uk, emley moor old and new, and all countries etc. Version: 5.0.5.200518
V4 BBC1 has these as parameters, 522000, SID 4169, TSID 4169 & onid 9018
Hi anyone know if it's possible to download a copy of the v4 software? I wiped my computer a couple months ago and went to reinstall NPVR 4 but the site only has v5 now. I've been trying v5 since and while there's some nice options, it very much feels like a beta software.
I'm constantly getting video that stutters and jumps in and out of sync with the audio. Many of the key mappings don't seem to work anymore...ff/rew seem to just pause/play, info button doesn't give you program info, you just get a windows error popup just to name a few.
I'm at the point now that I'm looking into alternative programs.
I started the app after copying the config.xml and npvr.dv3 from v4 then rebooting I set the client app to start. When it did, an error popped up. It read
"Too many automatic redirections were attempted." it stays on the screen for a moment.
then I click into the settings and I get a 404 page because it is missing the /modern/ in the URL
when I added it I got to a page that only had basic setup.
I read through the setup, but I cannot find where I went wrong.
Bought the Android TV app and having a few issues.
- live TV from channels/ HDHR gives black screen with directplay enabled. Work without directplay but when I change channel W10 server gets ghost ffmpeg processes consuming 24-50% of processor
- Recordings play with or without directplay until I try to fast forward- then stall and I need to restart play from beginning
- is there a way to delete recordings from app? Only see this in web interface.
