Recent discussion reminded me of this thread https://www.oodlestechnologies.com/blogs...ng-FFMPEG/ which works fine with v5 that I played with to add multiple audio (use the A key in ffplay) I have Fox on the left and CNN on the right for some added fun.
This is a stumper for me. I have a network based analog encoder that let's me record stuff from my cable box (I'm on Spectrum Cable TV in Hawaii). I often watch LiveTV from this for hours on end (I leave HGTV droning on in the background). I also do scheduled recordings on it a fair amount (various channels). On a pretty regular (but non-predictable) basis, I get recordings from HGTV that NextPVR says went an hour, but the file itself is only around 16 minutes long (that 16 minutes is pretty consistent).
I'm attaching some logs. The most recent case is in the nrecord.log.1 (look for Property Brothers: Forever Home that started a couple of minutes before 21:00 on 05/13/2020. I don't think the log is telling me anything, but it's happened often enough that I thought I'd mention it. I'm always able to try again (Property Borthers repeats *alot*) or get it off onDemand, so it's not like I'm actually missing anything, but it is annoying (more so because there is no pattern).
I do wonder whether this could be some filesystem interaction issue between Docker and Windows 10 Pro, but I'm not sure where to look to try and figure that out. Honestly, I'd expect it to happen more often if that was the case, but it's possible.
Some things that my recent experiences have brought to light...
When setting up the blaster executable - if Windows can't find the program as specified, there's no error message to point out that fact. Might be helpful...
I get no audio on the desktop app - just a message that says I haven't set a decoder, and should go to the settings to change this... but I can't find the Settings menu on the desktop app, and the only place with audio settings is the transcoder section.
I managed to lose my password after a manual install.
I followed an instruction sheet to install. I dont know much about Linux, which i am just learning.
I changed the password and am surprised that what I thought I had changed it to is not correct!
I have found my config.xml file after seeing on here that you can edit it to reagin access
I am new to NextPVR and migrating (or trying to at least) from Windows Media Centre on Win 7 to NextPVR and Kodi on Win 10.
I have 2 Kaiser Baas USB twin TV tuner dongles which work fine on Win 7 but I cannot get NextPVR to register them. They are listed in Win 7 as DIB7700 DTV tuner and Winfast DTV Dongle Gold BDA Device but when I plugged the first one into Win 10 it labelled it as a Yuan MC872 but neither driver made a difference.
Win 10 sees them and displays their presence in control panel>devices as well as manage>devices.
When I go to the NextPVR settings page and scan for devices there is nothing listed except IPTV which I clearly don't want.
Logs attached.
I really hope we can get this sorted as moving away from Win 7 would be good.
Using the Android client, higher bitrate recordings will pause and buffer away from my home network on direct play. Is there a way to increase the buffer size?
Right-click menu doesn’t have a PIP select option?
Some of the user guides give info for PIP
But there isn’t a PIP option in the right click menu (under live tv)
Some guide screen shots show it being there, some do not?
Setup recognizes both tuners (dual tuner).
Did manual channel scans for both tuners.
Uses tuner 1 on windows client startup. When I change channels - the new channel starts in tuner 2.
Thanks for making a great product
It works better than WinTV (other than the PIP function).
I am continuing to have weird behavior that seems to have started a few days ago (after some experiments with USB tuners) and is still continuing. I previously mentioned the thought of cleaning things out or otherwise just reinstalling from scratch. But, for now, here are the logs (from nrecord.log) of the odd behavior, in case it might help.
2020-05-13 17:00:00.044 Attempted to start WHADT recording for one hour...nothing else going on that I know of...failed with "System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed out." and no recording was made.
2020-05-13 17:30:00.195 Did start a successful recording on WKOW
2020-05-13 18:02:45.399 Should have started WHADT recording at 18:00 but something failed at 18:02 (?) and eventually started at 18:04 and recorded the rest
2020-05-13 19:00:00.297 Tried to start WHADT recording, but for some reason delayed until 19:01...then it seemed to work
2020-05-13 19:44:16.522 trying to start WKOW stream while recording on WHADT was taking place...to test if second tuner was working. Yesterday, it was...There was no result or error in Kodi on this attempt.
There are other "Net.WebException" messages from earlier attempts (previous days), but I didn't record the details at the time on what was going on.
Running version 5.0.4.200428, nextpvr Web App. playing a recorded show. When I either seek ahead or seek back in the play back, after the first of second try I get the message "Streaming Failed (transcoder exited)" in red at the bottom of the screen, the play back recovers and the playback continues. After a few seek/forward or seek/back, the playback gets stuck in a loop and eventually quits. Is there something missing or misconfigured? Never had this issue with 4.2.5 or earlier releases
