I have an ATI video capture card that I am using GB-PVR with. Upon setting it up I can manually enter each channel & in the video plays great in live TV. Is there a way to automatically search & set up all channels & then download TV programming info?
I've been using GBRecord to do quick one-off recordings while I'm watching TV (via composite 1), but I've decided to expand a bit and record bits from the tuner. The only problem is I'm getting no audio from the tuner and I'm not sure why.
It doesn't matter what channel I record either... I've attached the log

I just bought the All In One URC 8910 Remote (8 devices).
Out of the box it doesn't support the MVP so I called their Tech Support (long distance) and they upgraded it right over the phone by holding the phone to the remote, pretty slick. It sounded like a 300 baud modem (damn I'm old). Now works perfect with my MVP minus the colored buttons wich you can "learn" and set to any keys you want.
You can also get a data cable and do other stuff with it but I'm too lazy for all that (google JP1)
The key layout could be a little better but I'll get used to it, but for $37 it's a pretty nice remote.
I was getting tired of 3-4 remotes and that cheapy one that came with the MVP...
Though I'd let you guys know if anyone was thinking of getting a new remote to use with their MVP.
I currently have a remote that sends keycodes, and all seem to work and I can remap gbpvr kays *except* the <control> {number} keys. For example if I use ShowKey.exe and press the remote keys i want to map, it'll display ^D7 or ^D5. In the TVGuide.xml I supply that for the GUIDE_PAGE_BACK or GUIDE_DAY_BACK commands. I've tried both ^D5/^D7 and ^5/^7 to no avail. Doesn't seem to work from the keyboard either.
Any suggestions?
Other than that ... GREAT application. I purchased a set top box form-factor PC to create a custom (gb)pvr box. I'm anxious to get started on some ideas I have for plug-ins also.

In case it helps, here is what seemed to precipitate this:
First, FYI, I have 2 PVR-500MCE's (so, 4 tuners) and 3 MVPs.
This started when I went to XGuide and tried to watch live TV (Friends) on my MVP. I got a message that all tuners were busy, and that I could watch either of 2 shows being recorded. So I checked Recording Status the GBPVRTray and it indeed showed all 4 tuners being used -- 2 doing scheduled recordings, and 2 watching liveTV (which was happening on the 2 other MVPs). My wife often just turns off the TV without stopping liveTV via the MVP, so I found the MVP where she had done that and turned it off. After this, GBPVRTray showed 1 tuner free, as expected.
I then went to XGuide again to select a show (Friends) to watch liveTV on my MVP. [For what it's worth, on the remaining MVP my wife was also watching Friends via liveTV.] When I selected the show to Watch it, I could hear the audio on her system start to sound like a skipping record, and the system crashed.
The enclosed logs reflect this scenario.

Some of my playlist contain scandinavian character - æøå - and these tracks don't show up in playlist. Likewise folders (albums) containing these, and seems to lock the system for some time.
I'm using Windows Media Player 8, but was wondering if I should attempt to upgrade to windows media 9 or 10? Does anyone know if I will break anything in the process of doing this?
I've got a PVR350 and just replaced the Pixelview 7000 with a PVR500MCE to get one more tuner. Now the Hauppauge remote will not work. Any suggestions to get the remote working again would be appreciated! Thanks.
I'm set to get daily email updates for subscribed threads, but I've never gotten any. I originally was setup using my yahoo account and checked my bulk folder, but never found anything. So, I switched to my gmail account in case it was an issue with yahoo, but I've never gotten anything there, either. I am subscribed to threads that have been updated. Is this email feature enabled?
