my tv guide has to be an exact resolution for the osd to work so thats fixed at 720x576, but ive got a WS tv so im using 856x480 for all the other menus. boring reasons i wont go into, just this popup is annoying me, its probably true about the "Manual Recording" screen aswel....
I recently set-up GBPVR on my system. I am using a wintv-go card with a software decoder (Moonlight). I attempted to record a show and next to the show in the recordings menu in GBPVR it says failed.
I am attaching my logs to see if anyone can de-crypt them.
I do not know if this error is due to a mis-configed something or maybe my software decorder?

I am running a pc that is not used except as a substitute for a harddisk recorder. I would like to have the pc go either in standby or hibernation mode when not doing recording or play back to save power.
Unfortunately it seems like the PVR350 is not being correctly initialized after standby mode. The symptoms are empty mpeg files (0 bytes). Apparently the GBPVR Recording service is running correctly and status is RECORDING 'XX', however the mpeg file is not growing and when the service stop at the end of the correct time the files is still 0 bytes. In some cases i have seen that after cancelling the recording and trying to playback then the output to the tv is typically red horisontal lines.:confused:
My thoughts are that the drivers from Hauppauge for the 350 might not be handling the standby situation correctly. I am now using the 250/350 drivers from the hauppauge support page.
? Is there anybody else that have similar experience or may have resolved it ?
I had some trouble installing the card the second time as i only have an older driver cd v. 1.8. So i only installed the drivers from the hauppauge support page. I then got all kind of problems with missing drivers. The PnP driver etc was missing. So i ran the Setup from the driver cd and since that was able to install the driver and applications without any error messages.
? Where can i find a newer version of the basis drivers like the PnP driver (hcwpnp32.dll 4.9.21311) ?
Hi, I have been using the previous version of GBPVR for a little while and I have been extremely impressed - so much better in may ways than the "PowerCinema" bundled with my card. Thank you very much Sub. However I had the itch to upgrade to the latest version. I have not fully checked it out but I get the dreaded "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error when I exit from a programme, back to the menu. I did an install over the previous version and also a clean install after uninstalling and removing the directories, both with the same effect. Any ideas what may be causing this? I am not using any plug ins.
Has someone got the settings I need to put in to setup my new Nova-S Plus for Sky in the UK? When I used the default settings it only found about 11 channels! LNB settings are set to 11300 by default. Is this correct?
Is anybody using the IR blaster from the 150 retail to control the newer HD Comcast box (similar to the DVR box)? I want to start recording some HD channels, and it looks like Battlestar galactica is going to be on UHD, so I might as well record the best source. Plus "The Equalizer" is coming on that channel also.

I'm a newbie here, just wondering on 1 thing about GB-PVR.
Everytime I goto watch Live tv or to setup a recording, GB tells me that "No tuners are available to watch the requested channel. You can choose to watch one of the currently recording programmes."
I find this very odd. I have set up everything in the config file, but everytime I go back to the "Capture Sources" tab, my settings have disapeared. I can set up my tuner card (PVR-250) and EPG, but as soon as I go back into the config file it's gone again.
I was making some good progress, but the machine crashed and now I have to set everything back up. Not sure if this is related to the new release or not, but with the new version some things don't seem to work.
DVD playback is broken. All I get is a black screen. I can see the difference in black-space where the playback should be, but nothing plays. This was working fine before and is setup as it was. ASUS DVD plays the DVDs fine.
I have been struggling with the TV output. I have a good bit of black-space on the right hand side. The display from windows does this as well, but I have no idea how to fix since the output card does not have these types of controls. Any recommendations of how to handle TV output to ensure everything looks good on a 16x9 TV?
