I have successfully recorded a single recording to DVD by selecting Demux and Burn on a single recording, but now I am trying to burn 2 episodes of a show onto a DVD by selecting "Add to Disk" on the two episodes, and then burning the DVD.

It seems to hang on Step 1. I never get a dos window (I put pause's in the batch files) and GBPVR keeps kicking out to the main menu. When I enter MyVideos again the Step 1 screen is still up.

In Windows Task Manager, none of the processes seem to be using CPU.

Is there anyway to debug the Step 1, it doesn't seem to open dos windows, and I cannot find any errors in the logs.

Comskip 79_24 and Videoredo .Vprj project file.
When I compare the Comskip outputs, the .TXT file and the .VPrj file, The cuts in the .TXT file are correct, but the last cut in the .TXT file does not make it into the .VPrj file. This happens in all the files I have tested. I have tested some of the most recent Comskip releases, and I have to go back to 79_18 before the .TXT file and the .VPRJ outputs match.
Comskip gets better all the time, thanks for you efforts!

i have the other day just bought a new digital tv thingymibob. as you could guess these things are quite new to me..

it comes with software which is basic to say the least, when i come across BGPVR. it looks the business,

how to go about setting this thing up?

it took a while, buti managed for the software to find the epg for me...
but when i map it, it gives me lots of grief...

just if anyone can explain a little easy terms how i should be setting this thing up, what i need. anything for me to get started,
the software looks great as i mentioned, but i really would need this, cos at the moment i have all my bbc channels in a row then the itv ones, so for itv i goto ch9 and channel 4 is about 12.. very confusing..

if anyone out there who knows this software that can help

Well, that says it all really.

Got a Hauppauge MVP today (finally arrived from ebuyer.com) - it works with GBPVR straight away - brilliant.

It just won't play videos or live-tv - live-tv causes the MVP to reboot.

I have installed CyberCinema for the Mux, but still no success.

In fact, I get the following error sometimes pop-up in a dos box: FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: CyberLink MPEG Muxer

Can anyone point me in the right direction - I feel I am really close, but not quite the whole biscuit ;-)

My system is a P4 2.8 dual core with 512meg ram (will upgrade soon) - the TV card is a Nova-T and the MVP is the Hauppauge MVP.

I have also installed ShowShifter.

I have also included gbpvr.exe.log with this post - I hope this is the correct log file - I have looked in there, but there doesn't seem to be anything obvious to me.

The MuxChecker says:

I have checked the registry and there are LOTS of Mux's - including the Cyberlink and Showshifter ones.

EDIT: Oddly, the Live-TV has stopped working even on the PC as well now - I hadn't changed any of the settings - curiouser and curiouser?
It still works in the Config though when you map digital channels to the EPG - the preview box shows perfect tv.

I'm new to GB-PVR but loving it! I came from a MythTV box which was missing some flexibility networking wise (mostly wireless support issues) so I decided to try GB-PVR and I'm extremely pleased. I'm running some pretty sad hardware (p3-866 384 ram) but preformance overall is acceptable.

One nice feature MythTV offered which I can't seem to locate on GB-PVR is an "always use browse mode" setting in which would always keep the channel up/down in browse mode. I noticed the green button enables it but is there a way to default to this? I'm hoping I was just missing it.

After I completed configuration (with one directly typed in TV-channel) and started for the first time GBPVR LiveTV, I did get the following error message:

Hi all,

After spending 1 month trying to get my ati theatre pro to work as advertised I have purchased this pinnacle card and boy oh boy am I regretting it

I think it is basically a pctv 300i with a fancy name and new software, the drivers for the tuners are either not on the disk or not on my system as xp pro constantly displays an exclamation mark next to an 'unrecognised' device, which I believe is the tuner.

At the moment all im interested in is the dvb tuner but cannot get the new version of gbpvr to work with it.

Can someone tell me if im doing something wrong or is the fact that gbpvr cannot make the device work because the pinnacle drivers are not installed ?

I could do with some good news because im really fed up with tv cards

When I exit from a recording I sometimes get an error message:

I am using a USB-UIRT and it works great, this error only happens when I exit from a recording using my remote control, keyboard control is fine. It will only happen every so often and clicking ignore means I can resume using GBPVR until it happens again.

I'm pretty sure this is the error, I watched the logs as it happened, when the program halts at the error the log stops at 'Received event code: 811', when I click ignore the remainder of the log appears.

I've attached the full logs..

I thought it might have something to do with the OSD being shown but an exit from a recording with and without the OSD on screen makes no difference.

I know that there have been problems with the USB-UIRT in receive mode but I will appreciate very much if you could have a glance at this.

i find myself mostly using the webserver to schedule recordings, but especially resolve conflicts and delete recordings which are either repeats or uninteresting. two changes to the interface would make this process easier:

1) list the epsisode "title" in the grid view. only the name of the program and the description shows up. if you click on the program link a dialog comes up with more info, including the title.

2) provide a checkbox to multi-select a few shows for deletion. the process of deleting a show, waiting for the page to refresh, then scrolling around to find your location again is a bit painful. you can click cancel on a few recordings while waiting for the page update, but the results are a bit spotty.

3) an option to delete already recorded programs would be nice as well.

Is anyone else having trouble with Zap2it?

I haven't been able to access anything since Sunday night. I can't even pull up their web page, it just times out. :confused:

I ran out of program data yesterday afternoon, luckly my shows still recorded.
