I am having a problem with the video freezing after about 10 minutes of watching either recorded or live video. It will start by getting choppy then the viideo freezes while the audio keeps going.

I have it set to use the Intervideo decoder and it it is using a USBG drive to bufgfer to (it is only being used by GBPVR).

Anybody know how to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

GB-PVR looks like a very neat piece of software and there is a nice group of people here at this forum.

I currently use SageTV becuase it lets me capture video directly to DVD compliant MPEG2. This means that I can simply load it up with my authoring program and burn straight to dvd with no re-encoding.

Now, I know GB-PVR captures to MPEG2. But is it dvd compliant MPEG2?

If not, what would be the process I'd have to go through in order to convert it to dvd compliant MPEG2?

GBPVR appears to spike my cpu usage every 30 seconds. This is only an issue since it causes a slight stutter when playing back recordings. This problem has only appeared recently with 0.95.16.

I looked in the log and the spike in CPU usage appears to correspond with the following events:

I'm trying to schedule a reoccuring recording from the tv guide, but it's not working properly. When I set the Record Type to "Record Season (all in this weekly timeslot, this channel)" it's recording *all* episodes of that program on the channel, not just during the specified timeslot.

Edit: This only seems to happen when multiple episodes are aired back to back or in close proximity. For example, this coming Sunday, they are airing multiple episodes of The Simpsons (or Family Guy) back to back on the Fox channel. If you try to record the first one as a reoccuring recording, it will record all 3 episodes.

I'm using v0.95.16.

How do people handle power outages (the unannounced variety)? I just watched two of my recorded shows ruined because we had a two power blips (like the entire neighborhood), and of course when the system rebooted it started recording over the first part of the recording due to the same file name.

I know, I know..."Get a UPS". That would cause the WAF to take a SEVERE hit, because a UPS isn't exactly cheap. Wouldn't a simple "If...then...else" be a better (and cheaper) solution? Is there any way to handle this via any of the existing editable support files?

I'm currently considering adding to my autoexec.bat or startup folder a simple script that renames my usual recording folder and creates another one of the same name. That way, if my PC restarted during a recording, it wouldn't overwrite the file. Primative? Yes. Slick? No. Would it work? Yup.

Anyone have any better suggestions. Is there something within WindowsXP where a power outage triggers something that would allow me to implement my above solution ONLY when a power outage occurs (rather than every time I startup my PC)?

Am I the only one who has this problem? I do live in Florida, where every time someone spits on the grass or a dog does his business, we lose power. Maybe I'm the only Florida user?

So MuxChecker keeps saying that I don't have a mux installed. However, when I run MS DECCheck, it shows that I have the latest Cyberlink mux installed (6.0.0.1006). I've used RadLight to try and re-register all of the video components of the Cyberlink video decoders and STILL MuxCheck doesn't want to recognize that I have a mux installed. Any ideas?

It took a while but I finally got gb-pvr working quite well through Media MVP.

One problem : I have Hauppauge 45 button remote. When I hit the skip or FF button when watching either Live TV or recording on MVP, the playback stops and kick back to menu screen with the following message :

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Skip and FF works directly woth GB-pvr on pc. They even work in TV-Guide menu on MVP.

What is not working ? Thanks !

I've recently installed the excellent gbpvr software and don't seem to have much luck with the above plugins.

I have checked that the files are in the right place, and have set the rootpath ok, but when I attempt to go into a subdirectory (of the rootpath), I get the "Object reference not set.." error message.

Weather
This won't download, just hanging on the download message.

I am using Twinhan Alpha, and configure it as it describe on the HDTV
and bleb fro EPG ( and when i am update - it broght all the channle )
but when i am in the gbpvr the msg -
no channle had been set up - please run configuration utility and set up the EPG source ....

Can anyone help please

p.s - I downloaded the BDA driver and the card working ok out of GBPVR .
