Wondered if there were any other sites that do cinema listing details? I like to plan ahead and the list usually only goes up to the friday which isn't much good if planning for Sat night!
For the files plugin I want to add the ability to filter by type. For this I want to have groups of files extensions with a label. The current list is below.
Music mp3,mp1,mp2,ogg,wav,wma,aac
Video avi,mpeg,3gp,mpeg,mp4,mov,wmv,divx,ogm,vob
Office doc,xls,ppt,mdb,pdf,rtf
Pictures jpg,jpg,bmp,png,raw,img
Programs exe,bat,com
All (no filter)
Do you know any file types (extensions) which need to be added to the groups above? Or ideas for other groups?
Just to be clear, I wanted to ask this. My example is simplified. Let's say I have one card on which I can receive two stations (channel A and channel B), and then I have another card on which I can receive one of them (let's say channel A).
Now, if I record something from Channel A, I would obviously want GBPVR to use card number 2, since then I would have card one available for channel B. If it chooses card number 1, then my card number two would be less useful, right?
If I would get a card number two, then I would have this situation, but in a larger scale. All channels that are available to me on card 2 (which would be a freeview card) are also available to me on my original card (on which I get all the freeview channels plus several more that I pay for). I would then want GBPVR to use card number two first whenever possible...
But if I have interpreted other threads correctly, I cannot control this, right?
Yesterday, for no apparent reason that I can think of ("no, I didn't change anything" ) my computer started acting funny.
Everything went sloooow, like +30 seconds for anything to happen after I press a key. GBPVR process ran at 90-95% CPU when just sitting on the menu doing nothing.
I don't have the logs with me, but in gbpvr.exe.log, there were thousands of lines with something like
"Direct Access Received 144123141" (the number in there is made up by me right now, but it was the same number in every line). Of course my computer got really bogged down by all this.
I switched to not using direct access, but I don't really like to using ir32, since I have a clash with my Philips TV remote wich messes with gbpvr when I use ir32, so if I can avoid it I'd like to.
Anyone seen this behavior or have an idea what might be causing it?
I have an TUL capture card with a ATI Theater 550 chip. I used Cyberlink PowerCinema and I liked it because it worked right out of the box. It is very limited though so I decided to try GB-PVR and it seems to work pretty good.
One of things that is bugging me is pausing live tv. I would like for the TV to freeze at the scene when I press pause, but instead it is recording but it keeps showing live tv. Then, I have to go back to where i started to "Pause"
Am I doing something wrong or it is suppose to work this way?
I would think that since I'm pausing the TV, it needs to stop right there while I'm doing something else (picking a up a phonecall for example).
Enlighten me please?
Other comments:
1. Music player needs some work to the interface. I also tried the plug-ins: Jukebox and Music Player but so far all the interfaces don't seem very polished. It would be nice to have song information: time, artists, title, etc showing.
2. Show the volume level when I change it.
This are just small things, but I think it is a great program. I appreciate the time and effort you put into it. GREAT JOB !!!!!
If there could be a simple control on having GB-PVR machine go an update the time from the internet. I typically leave my machine on 24/7 for weeks at a time before restarting. and the current windows default is set for once a week. I cannot find a simple way to increase that frequency, but I'm using a batch file to update it very 12 hrs. I notice a problem about 2 months ago when I was missing the ending of shows. It seems my machine will run 4 min. fast a day. not a lot, but over a week it adds up to 28 mins. If someone could write a plug-in or if Sub could add it to the list I would be very happy.
I surfed around the forums a bit, but couldn't find anything along these lines. I have my HTPC running like a CHAMP and to put the final touch on GBPVR today I changed to the ContourHC skin. I have the latest build of gbpvr, latest drivers for both my vid card and my wintv card. Everything was working fine until I switched, now..
I can watch Live TV just fine, and can timeshift. But when I go to record a show then watch another, it says I don't have a tuner available to watch Live TV. I have wiped out all tuners, restarted teh machine, and reinstalled. I am installing the first tuner as a PVR500 w/FM, and the second one as without. I have tried making them both w/FM and just PVR500's, still can't get it to surf the second channel. I changed back to the Blue skin but honestly I don't see where the skin would effect any of this. I can go into the FM Radio and listen to music so I know it see's at least the tuner with the FM, but I can't figure out why it suddenly won't see the other. Any ideas?
I am running an Epia sp13000 with 512 mb ram and a pvr 150mce currently. I havent been able to utilize the cn400 acceleration that is on the motherboard as of yet because of some apparent driver problems that I read about in another thread. However my question involves stuttering problems regarding the OSD. My processor load is running at about 60% while the OSD is off but when it pops up it jumps to 90%+. Just wondering if there was any way to minimize this until the hardware acceleration was useable.
