I'm having a big problem with programs scheduled using PriorityRecordings.exe. The recordings are trying to use the wrong recording source.

GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log contains the following error message :

If I manually quick record a program using the standard TV guide, its OK.

This is a new installation of XP Pro SP2, GBPVR v0.95.16 and XRecord (xrecord-setup dated 22-Nov-05). I have three tuners :

1. Cinergy DVB card (oid 1)
2. Cinergy DVB card (oid 2)
3. PVR-250 attached to Sky Digital STB via S-Video input (oid 4)

Cards #1 and #2 only have access to free-to-air channels, I used about 20. Card #3 has access to all my subscription channels plus most of the same FTA channels on the DVB cards. I wanted GBPVR to always use the DVB cards where possible, so as not to tie up the Sky Digital receiver.

I had a hunt around a copy of GBPVR.MDB with access. Looking in table RECORDING_SCHEDULE shows the above recording's (Kirstys Home Videos) capture source was 1 - it should have been 4.

Looking in XRecord/Scheduler for 'Kirstys Home Videos', the Capture Source is Not specified. But if I look at the PriorityRecordings.xml file it shows CaptureSource is 1 :

Will changing CaptureSource to 4 and/or the force attibute to yes make a differance ?

BTW, I don't watch Kirstys Home Videos, it was just a test I performed to get log data - Honest !

I'm using BlueMCE 2 skin at the moment. I noticed the icons fade in/out when you jump from one category to the next.

That fading seems to be slowing the menu down a lot. Everything else is nice and responsive.

Is there a was to disable it?

Finally got my PVR box all nicely setup. It's still a bit noisey, but performance is fine. I've got a Morex Cubid 2600 case with a Via SP 13000 mobo with 1GB RAM.

I had tested it with RAM I had around the house when I first put it all together but I do have to say that there's no point running the machine with anything less than 1GB. It's amazing the difference it makes.

Anyways, it's all working nicely now once I get a wireless network setup here it'll be moving from the bedroom into the sitting room, where hopefully it'll work all nicely, and update etc... as neccessary!

I've experienced 2 0-byte recordings recently and have some strange messages in the log during the time both these recordings failed. I'm running the latest version of gbpvr on Windows XP with a PVR-150.

The problem seems to be related to watching Live TV earlier. I had quit watching it before the recordings started because I had to leave for a party, but I don't see an entry in the log that I quit Live TV. Whatever the case, it did self-correct but not until several recordings were missed. I've not restarted the recording services and later recordings were fine.

Here's the sequence of events.

• I watched Live TV timeshifted for a few minutes around 6:45, an NFL game on channel 5. I stopped it and left, with several recordings pending. No entry in logs related to stopping Live TV though.
  
• 7pm-8pm UFC Unleashed recording, channel 41, appears to start, and then stop at 8pm.
  
• 9pm-12am UFC: Best of 2005, channel 41, appears to start, and then stops at 12 am.
  
• From 6:45pm to 1am the log repeatedly echoes RecordingFactory.LoadNext24HourEvents() every 30 seconds.
  
• 12:59am system notices Live TV still active and stops it for 1am recording. Curious why it didn't do this with earlier recordings.
  
• 1am-3:10 am Good Will Hunting, channel 277, starts and stops appropriately

I found a file named timing.csv in my gbpvr directory this morning. I've never seen it before, and it's about 32 meg in size with data like the following:

OK, each new year I reformat my HD and start fresh as even the images I backup get old and full of junk.
So, the first thing I install is GBPVR with the latest PVR500 drivers. I can record fine but when I go to live tv, I get a black screen. The icon is lit in the tray as it does when using live tv and recording but I don't even hear anything. I'm not using tv out as I record directly to my computer and play back later via MVP.
I've played with the tuners but do have them set as they were before. I can get tv to play in WinTV2000 and also tried Sage TV trial to see if it works, which it does.
Did I miss something in the config this time?

Both of them are checked off in the configuration.

I've seen the same problem posted before, but could never find a definite answer that worked for me. If somebody has an answer and this has already been posted I'm sorry! If you require any specific information about my machine, let me know!

I'm trying to use DVD43 for DVD playback so I don't have to buy WinDVD or PowerDVD or another program. The video works fine, but there's no audio. Anyone else using DVD43 for DVD playback?

Are there any plugins or utilities available for playing video CDs?

Would it be possible to set the page up/dn buttons to allow us to skip up and down between episodes in a folder whilst they are selected and have the program information showing.

For example in Futurama folder i have four shows. if i select a show to view the program info, and realise i have seen that show, pressing page down would take me to the description of the next recorded show until i find one i havent seen and press play?
