I figured that the schedules from the epg are -1 hour.
I went to the config, re-configured the xmltv setting to +1 hour, clicked empty epg, then update epg, but still times continue to be wrong.
Any hint?
Second, when i select to watch a channel, it takes up to 30 seconds until the first channel display starts. I'm using software encoders, no tvout, pvr 350, epia sp8000E.
Once the live tv runs, performance is ok.
I tried to burn a tv show to a Sony DRU-700A and it got stuck on step 1 of 3 all night. I ran Sony's DVDChecker utility and all is well. Is there a configuration setting I missed? I have the DVD read and write directories, dvdauthor and dvddecrypter paths set up correctly. Thanks for helping out a newbie.
Hi everyone. I am currently in the process of setting up a HTPC and was wondering if I can use my MCE remote (Version 2 with no coloured buttons) /IR blaster with GBPVR to control a DishNetwork 301 receiver? I've done a bunch of searching on this site but I'm confused. Some posts say it is possible and others say it is not? I will be using MCE 2005 and would like to run GBPVR.
Well, i've looked through the forum trying to find an answer; I've changed video decoders multiple times; I've fiddled with the Live Preview Mode settings... BUT I CAN'T FIGURE THIS OUT!!!
I did my first three recordings tonight after spending the past two days yesterday installing GBPVR, some plugins, and the BlueMCE2 skin. RMy first two recordings went without a hitch. Although my third recording isn't coming out that great. When I try to watch it while it's recording the audio is staticy and the video is horrible. Attached are my logs. And here is a link to a 20 second long sample of the recorded video so you can see what I'm talking about. (http://rapidshare.de/files/7425339/movie_clip.zip.html)
One more thing so it's clear... I'm having no trouble watching live tv.
Thanks for the help!!
--edit--
I just attempted to watched the actual recordings of my first two shows. Video quality was horrible. Audio was ok, though. What could be wrong?????? I changed NOTHING between each of three recordings!
I don't know if this could be a plugin or have to be a built in feature.
You know how different channels have different sound levels and its annoying to have to change the volume constantly? Could it be possible to implement a feature that retains a certain volume level throughout all the channels that come through the tuner(s)?
I know I have seen some TV's with this feature here in the US....
I can't get the My Pictures plugin to work. I extracted both files (MyPictures & MyDatabase) to the GBPVR directory. My problem seems to differ from others in that I don't even get it in the GBPVR config. Is there something else I have to do after extracting the files and before opening the GBPVR config?
There is a fan on my motherboard (right next to the CPU, smaller fan - I think a north bridge or southbridge fan - something like that) and it all of a sudden developed a certain noise. Fairly destracting.
Would it be safe to stop this fan, like stick something in it to stop it or is there a better way? haha
I plan to hide the PC anyway, but I'm pretty sure you would still be able to hear it.
I've got my box up and running, and the actual Tuner playback looks awesome on my Television. I have an evga 5200 with 256mb or ram, and the video playback looks great, but the desktop and main gbpvr screen is all grainey, etc... I tried fooling around with the resolution, which I had set to 800x600 and also tried changing the antilaising settings, etc.. but it still looked like crap. Any help would be greatly appreciated to get my desktop display to look better on my Television.
