I started using Librelec on an RPi4 as my main living room playback device last weekend. Since then I've noticed a few times that when I press the stop button after playing a recording, sometimes Knewc just "hangs" and leaves the last frame of the video displayed--it never begins showing the menus again.
It just happened again, so I got logs (kodirpi4.log & nextpvr logs)--see attached. Or not--something seems to be wrong with the forum, I can't add an attachment. I choose the file, click Add Attachment, it uploads, then I just get my draft message back. No errors and no opportunity to click to add it to the post. Weird!
I am using V5 Beta and serving Nextpvr over the internet. Similarly serving the settings page over the internet.
It would be great if we had a button in the settings page to restart the Nextpvr service after we have done a change in the settings so that they take effect, from remotely.

Is there a guide/walkthrough I can be directed to in order to get comskip and nextpvr working together. Can somebody explain how timeshift should be behaving in V5 and what this this "Minutes" Setting next to the Live TV Buffer Directory setting n General Settings page?
From what I have understood so far, there are still 3 files used for buffer. How does the "Minutes" setting affect that? Does this mean for instance that if I have set this to 60,
that all three files provide overall 60 minutes buffer or something else?
Are we supposed to be able to let's say go back to the middle of file one while current pointer is in file two or three, meaning all the way to 60 for instance minutes before?
WHile choosing a channel I'm recording I get 2 options: Play recording or switch to channel
Play recording works but switch to channel fails with "tuner required. Navigation disabled"
I have a 4 channel tuner that is only using 1 channel to record the channel I tried to play live

I see there is a 'Prime digital tuners primed' tick box under devices. What does this setting actually do and what advantages/disadvantage are there to me using it.
I have a Hauppage Quad DVBT tuner as my primary device.
The Edge Beta browser has a feature that makes a Windows 10 app out of a web page. So, I tried it out on NextPVR v5 and it's pretty cool. Go to settings (3 dots upper right) of the browser, select 'Apps', then 'Install this site as app'. Then you have an NPVR icon on your desktop and in the start menu.
It seems to work fine but when you watch a recording or live TV and go full screen there is a info bar or something on the top. This only happens with the created app. With the Edge Beta browser the video goes full screen normally.
I have used this feature with other web sites like Youtube and full screen works as it should when watching a video.

I followed the directions using the .deb file and --install-recommends switch. The web interface showed my Device as ATSC LocalRecorder(adapter0)(unavailable). Even so, it let me Scan Channels and Save them. However tuning to any of them shows a red error message "Failed to start requested stream."
I removed nextpvr-helper (without autoremoving dtv-scan-tables dvb-tools and hdhomerun-config), then reinstalled. Now my Device appeared without the (unavailable) next to it, and could tune to channels this time.
After restarting the PC, I got the red "Failed to start requested stream" error message again. NextPVR will survive a logoff, but it won't survive a reboot. To make it work I must remove and reinstall every time.
Manually updated the EPG and allowed it to complete without interruption, but nothing showed up in TV Guide. The Closed Captions and Gear icons didn't work in the player, but I could right-click and enable Show Controls and successfully turned on that CC button only after full-screening with my fonts enlarged to 200%. Otherwise it'd be blocked behind the popup player controls.
Running Linux Mint 19.3, with Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1800. I tried using generic kernel(s) from Ubuntu, and both the standard and HWE kernel versions from the Hauppauge PPA with identical results.
I know the app isn't designed for this yet but others seem to have it working so I figured would try it out. Got the app loaded onto the fire stick. Can connect and everything seems fine. Guide loads, recordings load and channels load. Try to play recording or live tv and just get black screen. Have tried both direct play and transcode but get same black screen.
Same thing also happens with kodi app. It connects, everything looks fine but then nothing when I try to play something.
Logs were cleared out so only thing is me trying to play live tv from android app via direct play then another try with transcode.
In the NextPVRServer window I see "missing root element" when it is about to fail. In the video playback window I get [b]Streaming Failed (transcoder exited) [/b]after the following error rolls past the screen. I included a few rows before and after the error that shows in a red font.
