I've missed several season recordings this week, but with no error that I can find. While a couple did work, I missed Survivor, Lost and Invasion, all new episodes. The programs still show in my reoccuring recordings list, and the EPG updates have succeeded.
Since the recording service log doesn't show the date but instead just the time, I'm having a hard telling exactly what entries might go with the shows I missed, but as best I can tell, the system didn't even try to record Lost, Invasion and Survivor. For your reference, Lost and Invasion are on channel 4 at 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm, while Survivor is on channel 5 at 8:00 pm. In the log there's are two recordings early in the log on channel 26 where done on Tuesday. The last is CSI being recorded at 9:00pm on channel 5 Thursday which was a one-time recording I selected in the guide after Survivor was over.

Any suggestions? Is there anything I can do to make sure I don't miss other reoccurring recordings short of must making sure they appear as Pending the day they are due?
i'm having two problems, don't know if they are releated
I just ran out and bout a pvr-150mce and threw together a new machine around it. I'm ruuning xp pro but no service pack updates.
1st problem.
I created an account with zap2it and can log in through thier website fine, but when I select update epg I get a window telling me its retrieing epg data from zap2it fallowed by an instant error message stating my epg source settings might be wrong. The source is set to zap2it, the username and password are the same as the account I made in the site acceable through "click here" my subscription on that sight is listed as gold and due to expire 1/22/06 I've also added a line uo on that site and selected a handful of channels.
2nd problem.
with thay not wokrin I wnt ahead and manualy added 1 channel. Fox at channel 2. When I start gb-pvr amd go to live tv I can hear fox 2 coming out of the speakers but the window is black.
(not sure this belong on this thread, feel free to move it if not and sorry for the inconvenience if so).
Hello all, (first time on this forum)
First of all Sub a BIG THX for this fine peace of software, tried sagetv, meedio but gb-pvr for me beats them all I love it (until now :p ), so to the facts.
I'm curently upgrading my htpc with a pvr 500mce, the main goal is to be hable of recording 3 shows via cable ( I live in belgium btw, I know i saw the movie hrhrh), since i don't watch live tv(never at home when interesting things air ).
I know by the reading so far on this forum that gbpvr will handle this setup very well, but that's not the bottom of the case.
So this is it, i'll be adding to this setup 2 sat receivers so i could in theory record:
3 shows via cable (tuners entry on the cards) supported by gbpvr.
or 2 shows via cable and 1 via sat (supported i think).
or and this is the triccky one 1 via cable and 2 via the sats receivers( i would buy the optional bracket for the 500mce a/v inputs).
The question is will gbpvr support the third option:
1. via 1 USB-UIRT, in other words command 2 sat receivers with one of those?
2. or should i buy 2 USB-UIRT (does gbpvr support this kind of setup)?
2. or this kind of setup is simply put "impossible"?
If possible with the first case (one USB-UIRT), would it be better that the 2 sat receivers be from different manufacturers?
Many thanks to all for your time.
ps: And guys those of you with multi tuners in htpc and sat receivers, could you share any of your experince regarding this matter. thx
I'm having a problem with the sound starting to stutter and skip after watching tv for an hour or so. The video seems ok but the sound is gone or skipping. If I exit to the menu or tv listings and got back to tv it works again.
It occurred to me that there are two posting styles on the forum.
One where one thread continues for a very long time (such as webadmin) and another where every new topic related to a certain utility is published in a new thread (Comskip).
I was wondering if there is any preference between the two?
I am in the process of setting up my first MVP with GBPVR. So far, I am getting mixed results - I can get it to work, but it loses connectivity especially when viewing live tv. I am using wireless 54g - singal strength is strong. I think I must have configured something incorrectly. Would some mvp - gbpvr expert please provide step by step instructions? I loaded the latest mvp software from hauppauge and disabled the hauppauge mvp gui service - leaving the hauppauge mvp media service active. This works, but I do not know if that is optimal and is causing my problem(s).
sound is completely gone. it only works sometimes. if it does happen to be working, after one recording it is gone, until a couple of reboots later. sometimes it will not work for a few hours, but sound works everywhere but livetv. any ideas on what to do/check.
switching the decoders/renders does not have any effect either.
I have recently changed to the option to get the epg data from the dvb broadcast but since doing so i have lost my channel icons in the tv guide, apart from two (Channel Four and E4) i am in the uk.
Any ideas anyone.
