I have the Hauppauge PVR150 retail. I finally got the Ir blaster set to correctly change the channels on the Samsung box. Now I cannot get the remote working, I have changed batteries and all that with nbo help.
Can someone please help me get this working?
I've found a very reproducable bug. When I put live tv into timeshift mode but don't ever pause, live tv and GBPVR hangs when it's time for a program change. For example, I'm watchng "cheers" at 11:00 am, but at 11:30 am GBPVR and live tv hangs - not responsive and black screen. I press CTRL+ALT+DEL and it says that GBPVR is not responding. Shutting down the process and restarting works, but live tv no longer works. I have to do a reboot.
When I actually do pause for a litle bit it transitions between shows fine.

When pressing the "Map digital channels to epg channels" -button, my computer totally shuts down. I can see its starting the channel tuning utility, and then system reboots.
Did have this (or similar) problem before with XP Pro, but it disappeared, after i run the "windows update" and updated everything, now, no such luck.
Seems that Hauppauge Nova-t DVB card is a problem for many other people too somehow.
My computer and my TV-Card dont like your program, SUB, but I do, and thats enough, going to make it to work!
And also i have to use the Xcard, because its connected with RGB-Gable to my HDTV-capable CRT-Projector, picture is just awsome!
Sometimes crashes right after "About to try to add VMR9 preview window" but most of the times, here. (Or most of the times, it has the time to log more)
Any ideas for this crash problem?

GB-PVR is working great for most of my AVI files etc (fantastic, no more trancoding & burning to DVD)!!
The NerdTv (http://www.pbs.org/cringely/nerdtv/) video interviews however (*.mp4, e.g. ntvjuicy001.mp4) don't have any sound when I play them back in gbpvr. If I open them in QuickTime they do have sound. Try one of the "juicy bits" extracts from one of the interview for example (e.g. Andy Hertzfeld - The first Macintosh Programmer http://www.pbs.org/cringely/nerdtv/playe...mer...ever)
Any ideas? (is it back to mucking around with different decoders? or were the gbpvr config program decoder selection only for MPEG2 decoding). In this case I guess what I don't understand is how gbpvr targets the appropriate MPEG4 decoder, and how to adjust this? (e.g. if I could somehow select the same one that quicktime uses perhaps)
In Search Guide it is not possible to see shows which begins with non US characters.

But no useful solution came up. I have tried the suggested changes i the skin.xml file, but I get the error message:
"There is an invalid character in the given encoding. Line 20, position 91."
I have lastest GBPVR and use UK Radio Times xml grabber for my listings.
It wokrs perfectly, but every Saturday (and only Saturday) I get teh following lisitings...
11.20 - 1200 Popworld
11.30 - 1200 Popworld
And so on for nearly all the programmes during the day. I have tried using the xmltv DOS program, but it does the same . I have unistalled and put its all back together again, but it still goes mad on a Saturday.
It obviosuly makes recording very hard - any one else found this? Any advice?
I`m using the (great!) gbpvr app along with my Haupauge WinTV PVR USB2 card, to record and watch TV (through Antenna, not cables). Alas, my recordings suffer from two problems: most of the shows (not all, and not in any consistent form) have the sound garbled and distorted. I checked the file using other players and the problem is still there. The second problem is a short recording: I set up an one hour recording (or select a program from the EPG) and it records only 15 min or so. There is no shortage in disk space: I have always more than 15 Gigs free.
