Is the GBPVR.MDB file supposed to be compressed automatically? It seems to me that it did in the earlier releases bu it does not seem to be happening in 94.12. As a result after a week or so the DB has grown to 35-50MB.
I THINK this may be contributing to some of the strange behaviour I'm seeing. For example ehen I use the web interface to search for a program the video gets choppy and on occasion the audio stops and does not resume after the search ends. This requires an exit and re-entry of LiveTV.
Hi,
After very little problems with the 93 version, and having waited for the bugfix version of 94, I decided to upgrade to 94.13 this weekend. However, since the upgrade I experience many hangs of gbpvr. I did not notice when exactly the hang occurs, but I have attached the logs of the latest hang. Sub, can you see what is wrong? Or should I go back to version 93?
Just curious, but I'm trying to develop a skin for use on my HTPC, and it seems GBPVR shows fonts...well...like crap. There's this weird black border region around the text. Its ONLY done in GBPVR. Tried changing font sizes, etc...to no avail.
Any ideas? Is there someway to turn on font anti-aliasing or something along those lines? BEcause right now it looks...ugly.
I am thinking about buying a pvr-350. I would like to know how well gbpvr works with the mpeg decoding (tv out) of the 350. I have a couple of 150's & 250's, I guess what I am asking is the extra cost of the 350 worth it for the mpeg decoding? I know of places that are selling the 350 for less than $150 (USD).
Recent update caused loss of all config info and does not recognize previous recordings through gbpvr menu. backed up xml and mdb files, but don't know how to replace. Reconfigured nearly back to normal. Any way to get gbpvr recording menu to recognize previous recordings?
Just wondering if it's possible to have comskip run selectively on certain channels or programs. I find it works really well on a regular free to air channel.
But on some of the pay ones I receive, E! etc, they muck around with the logo a bit too much and cause a few other other problems so the channel skip doesn't work very well.
So I was wondering if I could turn off channel skip for this channel??
I have the Hauppauge PVR-150MCE tuner card and I am trying to configure the GBPVR software with it.
I installed the 150MCE drivers from Hauppauge, installed GBPVR, Zap2it etc.
Using Capture Sources, I picked my card from drop-down and configured the settings on that screen.
Using my Zap2it account I was successfully able to import the TV guide for my area.
The Tuningassistant.exe works fine and I am able to see some of the channels on my monitor when the tuning assistant is going through an auto tuning.
Now the Problem:
I am not able to tune to a specific channel once the auto-tuning is over. I cannot schedule any recording. When I get to a specific channel, all I see is a blank blue screen. On the bottom of the blue screen are the details of program currently playing on that channel (probably from Zap2it).
I do not know what is wrong or how I could debug it. Please assist.
Thank you so much for your assistance.
Like several others here I use a gyration mouse and keyboard to access my HTPC (I love GBPVR!!!) and would love to be able to use GBPVR with this (or any other mouse) instead of a remote.
I realize that GBPVR's focus is for use with a remote, but was curious if anyone had a solution for using a mouse.
Thanks
JMS
PS. You can add some of the remotes functionality using the programable keys on the gyration mouse, but still doesn't get you all of the way there.
I'm Currently useing a streamzap remote and not that I don't like it I would just like to be able to fix a few of the commands on it ie. ff rwd ect.. However I right now would like to go the simpler route and buy a different one 1 and I would like to know what most people are useing and how they like it.
