I went to the Engadget reader meetup the other day in SF and the slingbox totally kicked a$$. It would be great if we could tie GBPVR into a slingbox some how. http://www.slingmedia.com
I bought this DVB-T USB tuner. It was pain with installing BDA drivers and I found out that I can't change USB slot if i want to work with that card...
But I have one serious problem:
I installed muxer, multiplexer, demutiplexer, BDA drivers... I have loaded EPG data from XMLTV plugin and all I need is to scan and map real channels to EPG channels.
I click "Map digital channels to EPG channels". After that, new window is open and in the middle is: INITIALIZING
...and this is all... GBPVR config freeze. I tried to wait few hours but nothing happen.
But I found out that if I unplug USB cable, then this window starts to scan channels, but because tunner is unplugged, no channel is found
I have installed latest version of Twinhan BDA drivers and latest version of GBPVR and my situation is now, that I can't see TV neither in original Twinhan application nor in GBPVR.
What I need to do to solve this "freezing" situation? Any suggestion?
Just tried to download and install the fix for the weather plugin. However, the downloaded zipfile (799kb) appears to be corrupt. Any chance of anyone uploading a non-corrup file?

I am new to gbpvr. I was using WinTV2000 with my hauppauge 350. My setup includes a digital cablebox that is connected to the Hauppauge via a composite A/V connection. The digital cable box tuner carries the cable video. With this set up, how do I config the gbpvr to play LiveTV. I have been playing with the capture settings, but can't get Live TV to work. Can someone give me the various config settings I must enter to get LiveTV to woork with a Hauppauge 350/digital cable box via composite connetion to cable setup??
Not much of a real change.
It now displays a warning about height + y offset and width + x offset. They cannot exceed a set value. This was pointed out by sub and was causing some people problems.

Let me know if there are any problems.

A feature that allows the user to see which are the most popular songs being played and create a top 10 or top 25 playlist (that might change all the time based on the songs being chosen.
Is it possible to add a '+1' value to a song whenever it's played, and a database is sorting those songs by highest number and creating a playlist out of it?
So I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but figured I would post it here for people to at least look at. I'm also not sure what component it would be related to but normally when I schedule a recording when that recording kicks off on the main GBPVR screen it shows a little red circle that says 'REC' in it to indicate it is recording. Well I just recently scheduled a show to record via the web interface after it had already started (it started at 11:30 when I told it to record the time was 11:35) and the recording started just fine but when I looked on the GBPVR application on the main screen the little red recording circle didn't appear until after I closed the application and restarted it. This is not a big deal at all but if it is a bug it's a bug.
I use the video archive panel and the bluemce2 skin so I'm not sure if these are part of that or it is part of the standard application.
Also, whatever it is that puts the recording circle up there it might be nice to have one that pops on there when the GBPVRConvert process is running as well.
I'm having some problems with program information in the TV Guide plugin. Some of the channels show no program information at all. The channel numbers and names, however, show up just fine. I have made sure that the channels are enabled in both the capture sources and the channels sections of the config app, as well as on the zap2it web page.
Also, some channels that I have disabled are showing up in the guide.
I'm not sure when this started, as I had originally only been using GBPVR as an enhanced server for my MediaMVP unit. I just recently started exploring its utility as a pvr.
Once again, the guide is failing to update automatically. I did a manual update, and that seemed to work - but I really don't want to have to do that every week or so.
Further, I've just realized that the manual update knocked all my scheduled recordings out. Now nothing is pending, even though everything that I set up to record is still in 'Recurring'. Really not looking forward to rescheduling everything each time I have to update, considering among all the people in the house we've got about 25 programs on recurring schedules...
