Is it possible to have GBPVR play files through UNC paths? For instance, I have the entire Bevis and Butthead collection saved on my network (it's very large) on another drive. I'd like to see those recordings in GBPVR so I can ultimately play those on the MVP.
I upgraded to the latest version (0.93.10) and am having a problem recording.
I have two HP500 boards in an XP pro box. After installing the new version, I went to configure my capture devices and found the program thinks I have six devices (rather than the four that Windows reports).
I configured all four devices but when I record I only get a captured signal on one of them (I don't know which one) -- the other three are just static.
Do you know why GBPVR is reporting 6 devices?
How can I reset this?
Would this cause my problem -- might it be "confused"?
I configured them as 500/w FM (the default suggested 150) - might that be the issue?
As you can see I have lots of thoughts but no real suggestions.
Please advise,
Joe
p.s. Is there any way to know which capture device was used to record a show?
First of all, I want to say I *love* GB-PVR. I use it everyday, and it has quickly become a life-saver when it comes to video time for the kids.
One of the great features that was added a couple of releases back was the "Keep at Most" number when creating a new recording. This is great for ESPN Sportscenter, which I have scheduled to record at 2:00 am and keep at most 2. So I always have the latest broadcast if I get a free minute, but I don't have to keep deleting old recordings.
Well, I have a number of kids shows that are starting to fill up my 200 GB media drive. I have 20+ episodes of Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine, Dora the Explorer, etc. Some of these sets of recordings probably even have duplicates in them, but because of gaps/deficiencies in the guide information, it's hard to identify them. The kids don't really have a favorite episode, they just like the variety of options.
Which (finally) brings me to my request: currently you can only "Keep at Most" up to 5 recordings. I would like to Keep around 20 or so and not have to worry about disk space so much anymore. Would it be possible to change that variable so it would hold any number you want?
Is this card capble of working with gbpvr. I didn't see anything to indicate it will or will not work. I have one that I'm not using in anything else so it is taking up space. I see it will work for Beyond, Media Center and Sarg. I tried to use the 150M and Haupp 150 but no luck there. Thanks
I can't kill the reoccuring recordings. I once set xrecord or the default recorder to record all of Friends and Just For Laughs to check out the tool.
It seemed to work, except a couple of things.
1. It would always record on medium despite me telling it to record on low - actually, it records on low for the first episode then medium thereafter.
2. I tried cancelling the reoccuring recordings but they would always come back the next day - I would assume it does this after an EPG update.
I've tried xrecord and the default record so I'm not sure which is the problem.
Oh yeah, with xrecord and xguide, whenever I tried to schedule a recording it would not be seen in the pending recordings page so I just stopped using xrecord and xguide.
I'm using 0.93.10 and PVR150 combination.
What files do I check to see the reoccuring recordings and what log files do I look at to check out the problem.
Would uninstalling 0.93.10 and installing the newest version help me? I don't really care about any databases at the moment as I'm just testing all the features for now.
I know this isn't a fault with gbpvr, but I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed any sever stuttering with video playback when using the BDA drivers and associated app to view TV with a hauppauge Nova-T PCI and a dual-core processor?
The machine is a clean build, and when I set the processor affinity of the bda-app.exe process to a single core it runs fine. The moment I unset that affinity the stuttering begins again.
I'm still pretty new to this stuff so was wondering if anyone could help me out with what might be a pretty basic question...
Is it possible to create playlists for video files so that a bunch of short videos could be played one after the next. I don't want to use the play all facility as I would like control over the play order.
