I'm still pretty new to this stuff so was wondering if anyone could help me out with what might be a pretty basic question...
Is it possible to create playlists for video files so that a bunch of short videos could be played one after the next. I don't want to use the play all facility as I would like control over the play order.
I did a search on this forum on the keyword FLAC. I read that I needed to install a DirectShow filter, and I did (CoreFLACDecoder). I associated the .flac extension with Windows Media Player 9, and it plays fine.
However, the Music Player interface on the gbpvr will not allow me to select a file with the .flac extension.
Am I missing something?
Is there any way to alter which extensions are accepted?
Whenever I try to browse the menu with the keyboard (the remote and usb uirt are in the mail) and the mouse disappears, my next hit of the arrow key gives me the Object instance not set to an instance of an object error. (if thats not exactly the error, its something similiar.
It just recently started doing this when I set a program to record. before when I didnt have any programs scheduled to record, it seemed to work fine.
That is the only thing that I have done to bring up that error. I did install a couple plugins today, used it all day just fine.
Just wondering if anyone has thought about creating an answering machine plugin? I have been thinking about adding a voice modem and using my HTPC to display caller information and record my phone calls. There are a fair amount of free caller id/answering machine software applications available which could be the start of a cool plugin...
gbpvr has an option to use the system default codec for video and audio, but is there anyway to set it in Windows 2000? Sorry if this is an easy one but searching the forums and googling didn't really get me an answer.
Let me start with this, yes I have searched a couple of different ways on 3 or 4 different occasions.
I know this is good topic, there are at least 3 ways I have seen and only used 1 in the past 9 months. I understand the following can do it:
1) latest GBPVR build
2) Video Archive plugin
3) rectracker
4) I think Xrecord can, not sure
I have used rectracker in the past, 5 months ago and can not for the life of me get it to work again. VA and the built in one to GBPVR says zap2it only. Is that using the zap2it data as a whole or just with the built-in zap2it function of GBPVR?
When does Video Archive prune recordings? I see nothing in the postprocessing or postepgupdate batch files.
I purchased a 500MCE and took out my PVR350 but first, I uninstalled the 350 and ran the HWCLEAR to remove all instances of my old card. Put in the new card and installed the drivers.
When I went to config GB-PVR, I was not able to connect to the internet. I noticed my NIC light was orange and not green and many calls to Dell and diagnostics turn up nothing.
One strange thing was the error I get says my PCI Epress is not working but my NIC is on the motherboard. Is it at all possible that something in the drivers caused a problem like this? I'm totally confused at this point.
Thanks
how does this plugin work? it's just a dll and the config util looks for an exe. i tried placing a the dll in the plugin folder but i can't get it to function. what am i missing
my Gbpvr computer's dvd player tells me that the dvd i have is the wrong region. I've tried to use three different programs and they all seem to say the same thing. But the dvd plays fine on my stand alone dvd player and the other computers. I'm in the US, so it's set to region 1. Anyone know about this message I get? Why does it work on my laptop (set to region 1) but not on gbpvr computer (also set to region 1)?
