hello,
GBPVR file writer can allow recordings to be played back while they're still in-progress.
how to implement the function, memory mapped file or other methods? can someone give me some suggestion?
thanks!
Well I took the plunge and bought myself a PVR350 after discovering that my AIW would not be up to the job. Very happy with it with WinTv working perfectly. However when I try to view live tv on GBPVR I get the following error on a black screen:
"Video is playing back using TV out, Press 'Home' to return to the menu"
A search of the forum & wiki has revealed nothing to shed any more light. Can anyone help me dicipher this error.
Octavius
Hardware Spec:
ATI AIW Radeon (for s-video out to TV only)
PVR350
AMD Athlon 1900XP
750Mb RAM
Hercules Game Theater XP Soundcard
This is just a little thing I saw when I tested sagetv and beyondtv. It is a bar that runs along the guide showing where the time is in relation to the shows.
1. I have a digital cable box downstairs, and I was wondering if there was a way to get digital cable channels on my PC without needing a second box?
2. Is there a way i can manually record my shows, so i can pause during commercials? tommorow(friday) is gonna have alot of football preseason games, and I am looking to record a couple, my TV tuner card didnt come with a remote, so I would like to know if it is possible with my keyboard.

Can anybody recommend a digital dvb pci card or usb box I currently have a kworld pci card that works ok but now it a bit shabby and old.
All i need is live TV don't need to schedule or record just live TV Im looking for stability and quality can you help
My 2 hard drives where I put the Mpeg2 files, for some weird reason, are crashed and i can't copy them back to DVD.......I had to REFORMAT them, and now I haven't started recording anything yet....
I wonder what went wrong......
all my good recordings are gone...... so sad.......I will have to re-record after my 'feeling' is healed......^_^
I haven't had time to watch TV the last few days or so, but GB-PVR v92.11 (I think it was, I upgraded just now) just missed a whole bunch of shows and I'm really pissed. I've got plenty of hard drive space, and these shows did not show up as failed in the list. Anyone care to guess what the heck happened?? Oh and these were reocurring recordings it didn't record.
Is it possible to set GBPVR to use the Nero Showtime codec for video and audio playback?
I have transcoded most of my library to Nero AVC, and the results are small files at superb quality. However, although these files are perfect quality when played back through Nero Showtime, the quality of video and audio when played back through GBPVR is not as good. I am using FFDShow by default, as the Nero codecs do not show up in the list of codec selections.
My question is, is GBPVR not detecting the Nero codecs for some reason, or are the Nero codecs 'hidden' from other applications?
Trying to get SA to run out of the postprocessing.bat file by using the comskip proxy with no luck so far. Has anyone figured it out? Running it manually works fine.
I'm using GBPVR via a MediaMVP with 34-button remote. The volume keys (Vol+ and Vol-) work for live TV and watching recordings. However, they don't work for music. (I've tried with both the GBPVR native Music Library, and with the Music Player plugin.)
Can someone point me to a solution?
Once that's solved, is there any way to get visual feedback when setting volume? (e.g., a volume bar?)
