not sure if one of the existing plugins covers this but what I would like to do is browse the EPG and select the programmes I want to watch that night. Since getting cable I know have 78 channels of crap instead of 6 so it can be difficult to remember what is own etc.
I would like to setup a View list so that GBPVR changes channel for me to the preselected programme.

If i record a tv program with GB-PVR, or viewing live tv with live preview off, the picture has wrong aspect ratio and the bottom of the picture is disappear. With live preview enabled everything is normal.
With graphedit, i can reproduce exactly the 2 picture (the wrong aspect ratio, and the normal) with changing the ATI AVStream Analog Capture Filter video-decoder from NTSC (result wrong aspect ratio etc.) to PAL (good).
Maybe I missed it in the config and operation, but it would be pretty cool if you could make the seasonal recording range a variable for user customization. ie, I want to tape a half hour show every sunday on channel X at 9pm, but channel X runs this show like 10 times more during the week. Setting the seasonal recording option records all instances of this show from 8pm-10pm on channel X. I'd like to be able to customize the seasonal recordings timeframe to say "Only record show on <DAY> from <START> to <STOP> on <CHANNEL>." where <DAY>/<START>/<STOP>/<CHANNEL> are determined by the first recording of the show.
I understand the need to introduce a wider timeframe in case of schedule changes, and on network TV this is probably a good thing, but on pay cable channels where they rerun the same show multiple times during the week, this is not needed. It just records the same episode over and over.
Bare with me here since i am a newbie but just so i understand how this pvr works.
If i buy a wintv-pvr-150 (currently on sale in my neck of the woods) to capture the cable feed I also need a video card with tv out to view the the application on my TV, correct?
If this is correct are there any suggestions on what would be the best to use as the video card with tv out? Basically are there any requirements on the video out card with gbpvr?
I have tried to find Israeli dealers that sell USB-UIRT, and could not. I am trying to organize a small group to purchase over the internet, since that would make shipping cheaper.

GBPVR is working great, and this may not be the best forum to post this in, but it is the only PVR forum I know, so I am giving it a shot.
Whenever I turn my PVR box on (I turn it off each night because I dont record any morning shows and it makes some noise, though not much) the sides, top, and bottem of the screen are cut off when displayed on the TV. (ex. I can only see the very top of the start bar, and cant see the green start button). This persists on the desktop and in any program I open (GBPVR for example).
Now, if I open up the display options, and change the resolution to a different resolution and then back, it resizes to fit right, even though the setting is identicle to the setting when it starts up. Any idea on whats wrong or a way to stop this?
I'm thinking of building a server that will serve as both a PVR (via MVP) and a general workhorse. Can anyone recommend a motherboard / chipset? I'm at a loss where to start.
I do not plan to locate this PVR within my video cabinet -- I can use a full height case.
Yes, I am trying to make my poor little machine do too much. Specifically, I have a lot (!) of old video I am currently in the process of converting to MPEG-2 material using TMPGEnc. That means that my CPU is in the 90's most of the time on most days. I can setup GB-PVR to run on the same machine, but watching live TV is next to impossible. The only video out on my machine is the PVR-350, so using the "other" card is out. Adding another video card is not an option as all 3 PCI slots are full, and there's no AGP slot.
I've tried turning the Live Preview and such either off or to 0 ms, but that seems to make only a slight difference.
Any ideas - other than not running both things on the same box?
I have been configuring my music library in icon view (so i can have album art for the folders) and have noticed that some of my mp3's in icon view have the artist above the music symbol and the track name below it. Other mp3's i have place the artist and track name all above the music symbol, however this format covers up the track name so that i cannot see it.
I would like to get all of my mp3's formatted the first way so that info is splip above and below the icon. Does anyone know how the id3 tags have to be formatted in order to achive this? Any recommendations on a program that reformats id3 tags?
