This is an excellent plugin I got project 64 and snes9x working fine. I can't seem to get the argument working correctly for ePSXe I've tried "%ROM%" and %ROM% and both did not load correctly. Oh and a design idea you could introduce an edit command for the emulator adding in the settings gui. having to delete and readd can be a pain.
I am very new to this program and this forum. So first I would like to greet everyone.
Unfortunatelly I faulted, I bought a Sapphire Theatrix 550p (instead of the good old Hauppauge PVRxxx - I stupid). At present I almost do nothing with it. Under PowerCinema I haven't got sound at all - doesn't matter what audio source I choose.
Under WinXP MCE I have noting. After setting up everything it states that lose TV signal, I haven't got anything. (I have to start again to set up, to tune etc.)
So far this program succeeded in tuning the chanels with picture and sound together. And the problem starts here. I can not choose Hungary from the Capture source/Recording source. For example if I choose Germany (the same PAL system) I don't get the right channels in live tv what I set up in the EPG soure (dowloaded by tv_grab_huro).
How this program tune the channels? Till now every program I tried had got a tuning process where I get the channels.

It has been a while when I last did something for the community, but now I'd like to contribute with couple of thoughts and one howto. Following is solely my own opinion and represent my personal experience.
Cross-platform networked viewing of GB-PVR recordings:
NB! This is for viewing only, recording must be done via GBPVR web interface! There are couple of ways viewing prerecorded shows.
A) share GBPVR's recordings directory as network share and connect from other computer. When recordings are done with "medium" quality, also 802.11b is enough to view smoothly. Must use external player and also third party mpeg2 decoder on remote computer. Works, but is uncomfortable to use, also no metadata available.
B) use VLC client! (www.videolan.org). Install HTTP server to GBPVR machine. Doesn't matter is it Apache (http://httpd.apache.org/download.cgi[/url]) or MS IIS or sth else (but first one is my preference), then also php ([url=http://www.php.net/]www.php.net). Then define ODBC source on GBPVR computer to point to GBPVR database. The next step is to create a php script to lure recordings metadata from GBPVR MDB file. The example will be found from http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/Cookboo...ipe/163447. Include into this script also auto exec of vlc to start broadcasting clicked show using multicast on server machine. Link this script to web servers index and create appropriate design of the table, so every time you turn to web server, it automatically generates info for latest recordings and after a click starts broadcasting. Now register file type on client machine and include into php script to call vlc on client machine to listen to multicast network. I won't publish exact code/script as this is too much currently hardcoded into and also is still too raw to show to public. But I could assure that I have done it and this works and also dot 11 wifi is enough to play shows smoothly.
"Native" (windows only) GBPVR network client:
Presumption is that you have GBPVR machine up and running correctly. Now the following steps must be done to use GBPVR as networked:
*) Change recordings directory to UNC path. You can't do it from Config app, but directly from config.xml (search for: RecordingsDirectory). For example to: \\192.168.0.102\d$\PVR\TV. NB! All previous recordings will be "hidden" from Recordings menu, but they will not be deleted. Backup gbpvr.mdb before it and replace in recordings table for example D:\PVR\TV to UNC then recordings won't dissapear.
*) Install GBPVR to "client" machine, but don't run it! In config.xml replace recordings directory to UNC path as mentioned above. Search for RecordingServiceLocation from config.xml and replace localhost to ip of the GBPVR "server" machine.
And voilà ! You could use GBPVR from as many networked computers simultanously as you want! TV schedule works, Recordings viewing works and also new recordings scheduling using remote clients works! Also, if using only time-shift mode (not live preview) also Live-TV works! And also, for only one client 802.11b is enough to feed one client smoothly (more simultaneous clients will need 802.11g or pre802.11n).
PS. Who is the administrator of the Wiki?! Would be nice to put it also in wiki.
I have a theatrix(theater 550 pro), if I enable the encoder pass-through option, I get no sound for live tv. Haven't checked recordings yet to see if it caps audio.
I would like to be able to use this, as it is the best deinterlacing available, makes tv watchable on pc.
I removed wake.cmd, since I don't need it to restart my pvr-350 out anymore. This resulted in me getting error messages stating that wake.cmd couldn't be found. So, I put it back in there, but let the file be completely empty.
The result now is that gbpvr exits after the computer is woken up, so I have to restart gbpvr manually. Do I *have* to have something in the wake.cmd file, and in such case what? :-)
Or can I do something so I don't have to have the wake.cmd file there at all?
Not sure if this should be a wish or a bug report, I think it's just something not thought of.
If I cancel a recording before it's started, and the computer goes into hibernation, it still gets woken up at the time the show should have started. It goes right back to sleep after my "time of inactivity", so it's not a big deal, just a bit annoying :-)
I have a win 2k server with gb-pvr installed. I am trying to use the web scheduler from 2 pcâs on the local area network. One pc has win 2k pro on it as an os and connects with no problem and lets me access gb-pvr scheduler with no problem. The other pc has win xp on it and lets me only get to the web admin page. It will not except my password or username. I have not idea why this is not working??
I've been using wintv (I use the pvr-250) for awhile even though I knew it was a horrible program. I finally had so time to install gbpvr and I love the way it performs. So what can be done about using a different mpeg decoder and is there a tutorial on how to change it?

Just came across this piece of software, looks very interesting.
As the title says, I have the hauppauge nova-t pci which all works fine under their software. Was trying to get this working with it but I can't figure out how to tune the channels. Whenever I do "Live TV", I get "Channel tuning information not known". I can't see anywhere to search for channels however.
I've been all over this website trying to find out how to do this to no avail. Went through the quick-start, so if there's some step other than that I should have followed?
In the config in the capture sources, I have set the BDA recording plugin to Hauppauge Nova-T (tried 909 and 9000). I also ran the tuning assistant, but there's nothing for the Nova in there. Can't see anything meaningful in the logs either...
This is probably something very simple, but I'm damned if I can find it. To top things off, I have a cracking hangover so I'm admitting defeat and asking for help
