  XMLTV & France & PX-TV402U
Posted by: colaps - 2005-05-02, 09:16 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi all,

I installed BGPVR some minutes ago. I'm able to listen musique, show local vidéo but unable to use "Live TV". It seems my problem come from the configuration of "XMLTV".
I red some web pages about it but I cannot find on the web a such file (or a tools able to produce it) , in order to use it with GB-PVR. Sad
I live in France and I use a Plextor PX-TV402U.
Thanks in advance for your help Smile
Colpas.

log file - randomly lock ups
Posted by: tonydotigr85 - 2005-05-02, 01:25 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I can't seem to find a log file that "spells" out and explains errors as they occur. I'd like to troubleshoot some of the random lock ups I experience when I schedule recordings. If someone could provide me with the location of the file and maybe some insight on where to start looking for probs... that'd be great Wink

  MCE 2004 Remote
Posted by: St. Babu - 2005-05-02, 12:48 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (8)

Hi, all!

I'm not sure whether this should go in the Hardware forum, or the Support one, but I'll post here, and someone can tell me if I need to move. I just got a fresh instll of GBPVR up and running on a Chaintech Nforce2 board with an Athlon XP 2000+ and a PVR250. I originally had XP MCE installed on it, but I'd had problems with it, so I wanted to try GBPVR out. I did a fresh install of XP Pro, and installed GBPVR. So far, it's awesome, but I have a few questions about the MCE remote:

1. Its response is really slow, sometimes I have to wait a few seconds for the remote to "catch up" if I hit a couple buttons one after the other.

2. I've read here that the buttons should work as labelled, but that's not been my experience. If I go into "Live TV", in order to get to the guide I have to hit "Back" to go to the main menu, then choose the guide option. I don't have MCE installed any longer, it's just XP Pro, so is there a driver I need or something? Is there some way to configure the buttons on the remote?

If someone can help, I'd really appreciate it, this looks like really cool software, and I think it's everything I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance,
St. Babu

  Suitable for Freeview?
Posted by: sha - 2005-05-01, 10:49 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hi,

I'm in the process of deciding which components I'd need to use for a PVR-type machine with GB-PVR at its centre. Having read the forum threads so far, I was hoping to ask people in the know whether GB-PVR is known to be compatible with any available USB device capable of viewing & recording Freeview in the UK?

Many thanks,

sha

I've started a weekly "Deals & Steals" thread on my site where I post the latest special buys found in my weekly newspaper. I typically only post hardware/software that could be used in a HTPC; but the items can be used in regular computers as well.

Check it out and tell me what you think: Deals & Steals

Error message when recording failed ?
Posted by: onestar - 2005-05-01, 08:54 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

Suggestion: Could GBPVR report an error message on screen when a recording has failed - esp due to disk space finished. even like a red dot or something, so fools like me don't keep recording and not realise nothing gonna be there.

*sniff* *sniff*
