I know I need to have the file videos.mdb in the gbpvr directory. However in my installation it is not there or any where else on my HDD.

I am running the latest v0.91.9

So the question is which plugin does it get installed with? Or how do I get it?
I've tried searching the forum for a reference to videos.mdb there are countless comments on it but I couldn't find a reference as to how it is created or installed.

Hi. I have been having a bit of bother with hibernating. I think its to do with RSS newsfeed but not sure. I wrote this little batch file to get round the problem. It uses Recstatus.exe written by Jimh and can be found here

Download recstatus.exe from the link above and put it in the gbpvr install dir.


This utility when run will return a error level depending on the recording status. Follow the link for the examples.

Copy the below into a batch file called checkrec.bat and place it in the gbpvr install dir.

Create or edit PostProcessing.bat Add the line at the end of the file (after comskip etc)

I use the tv-out on the pvr-350, but that obviously doesn't work for divx-ish movies.
I'd like to be able to turn on software decoding without having to go into the config app and restart. In such case all I'd have to do to watch such movies would be to change to my second scart input on my tv (which I already have connected to the tv-out on the graphics card...)
I'm not even sure this would be possible, but this is a wishlist :-D

The writing on the screen, espcially in the TV Guide are to big that I can't read all of it.
Is there an easy way of fixing this?

I wonder if anyone would share their opinions with me.

I want to Use GB-PVR on my PC to watch/record UK Digital Terestrial TV.
I would also like teletext (but can live without it).
I would prefer (but its not essential) an external usb box.

I have already tried a WinTV Nova T USB 2, and it doesnt work well with GB-PVR, (I tried Intervideo, showshifter and Cyberlink Mux's)

I now have an unopened Avermedia DVBT771, which I am going to take back because its clearly not supported by GB-PVR also.

What do you people recommend?
It would also be good if the card/box was supported by other software in case I decided to change at a later date, but GB-PVR looks like it will fullfill all me needs at this point.

I have the latest GBPVR software which includes support for Nova T 90002
However, I notice that you can't specify a Nova T in the tunning assistant. How can you scan for channels if the card isn't listed ?

I am trying to write a script to hibernate my PVR after a recording. If I setup a test recording in the next 10 mins and run recstatus.exe I get this error:

I get the same error if I supply the path to gbpvr (I am using the default location) and if I run it without a show scheduled it produces a sane output.
