Just curious, what events are thrown when media is played (either music or video)? Also, is playing of a video or music file done in a thread or is synchronous?
I get audio in video playback. I get audio in the radio panels, but no audio in live TV, nor if I browse through the TV guide, and choose a chan to watch.
Using onboard Realtek audio, tuner as source in Hauppauge PVR-250.
Latest drivers from shspvr, and it was working a week ago, but I've since formatted and reinstalled.
Any users of o2grabber, I seem to have to check a box in the config for "adjust for daylight savings" in order to not have everything record @1 hour off =)
In gbpvpr I did a "clear EPG data" and then an "update EPG data". Then it's ok again.
I am having problems viewing a show when I record it. I'll select a show in TV Guide and schedule a recording of it. However, when I go to watch it while its recording by selecting Live TV I get the error "No Capture Source was available to enable you to watch the requested channel."
Also, if I have a show scheduled to record at say 2 pm and I'm watching Live TV at the time, GB-PVR will freeze when it turns 2 pm and all I'll see on the screen is a still image of the Live TV show I was watching. However, it does actually record the scheduled show if I stop GB-PVR in task manager and then open it up again, the show will be in the recordings menu.
The only luck I'm having with recordings is if I manual record a show i'm currently watching or if I schedule a recording and leave GB-PVR on the main menu screen.
Hi (asked this over on hauppauge.co.uk), just recently bought the 350, specifically for the MPEG encode/decode functionality. Getting it setup as a PVR, but the quality of output from the TV out is not so great.
I have tried SCART straight into a TV and video out into a RF converter for analogue display.
On both (without any program running - the coloured bars for example), I can see a very distinctive "echo", "ghost", "shadow" effect where the vertical lines are, offset by a few mm to the right. I see this using the programs, using OSD, or playback. Also notice (on the coloured bars) a wavy zig zag effect (best I can describe it) on the borders of the colours.
My Geoforce tvout on the video card doesn't have this problem at all, and given it happens on the svhs, and video outputs off the card, I believe its straight from the 350 card output. I've scanned this forum, and others, but don't see anything having the same problem. I don't think its gbvr since the colour bars are independent of that?
Is there anything I can do ? It poses a problem, since the tvguides, and osd become very hard to read via this output (which is why all skins to me are unreadable!!)
Until I get around to working on my PDA based remote I need to buy a new remote control. I'm thinking about getting a MCE 2005 remote but I'm looking for a recommendation.
