Recorded file format in recorded folder
Posted by: devil6656 - 2005-03-27, 05:08 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi all,

I am using GBPVR as an MVP server. With this combination I have a digital PVR.

I am using another program to record programs and dump it into a common folder. From there GBPVR uses that folder to play the recorded videos to my TV.

Now I would like to erase the recordings from my HDD using the MVP, But I point the recordings to that folder and GBPVR doesn't see any files in that folder.

Any help is appricated

  Plextor PX-TV402U software
Posted by: thosj - 2005-03-27, 04:28 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I just got a 402U and would prefer to use GBPVR. I notice in the install notes on the site here for GBPVR it says the Plextor supplied software, WinDVR and WinDVD Creator must be installed. I'll assume where it says WinDVD twice, you mean WinDVR and WinDVD Creator. Is it really necessary to install all this to use GBPVR? I just hate to install yet more video software on my computer that I won't use. Why is it required?

Thanks!

Tom

How do I get E4+1 (existing channel but 1hr delayed) into the BELB EPG?
Posted by: thawk - 2005-03-27, 04:06 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hi

I have over the last week installed GBPVR and I am really impressed - it is working great (even the Hauppauge PVR 150 IR blaster channel changer is working for my UK NTL PACE cable TV box now).

BUT I am using BLEB as the EPG source - one of the channels I have on NTL is E4+1 which is exactly the same as an existing channel (E4) but repeated 1 hr later - great for avoiding overlaps. However BLEB doesn't list E4+1 - it just lists E4.

I tried getting XMLTV to work as an alternative to BLEB in the hope it would have E4+1 but got stuck (I downloaded the files as directed and ran XMLTV but could never find any resulting XML file to link the EPG to in GB-PVR - I guess I'm making some basic error!) But in any case having looked at the XMLTV site in the process I don't think it has E4+1 either so I gave up on that idea!

Any suggestions how to get E4+1 would be great e.g.
1) Is there some setting in GB-PVR I'm missing to deal with this?
2) I was wondering if anyone has a plug-in/batch file etc to take the existing BLEB E4 listing and just add a new record with E4+1 with all time listings 1 hr later. If not how would I do this (please note I have only ever written programs in Pascal, BBC basic and done Excel macros to download and analyse web page data!)
or 3) Of course if XMLTV has E4+1 then any suggestions how to set it up and get it to work would be great!

Many thanks

Tim

  Channel scanning with Twinhan DVB-t
Posted by: SebP - 2005-03-27, 03:36 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (16)

I've been trying to setup Gb-pvr with my Twinhan DVB-t and I'm having trouble finding the channels in the capture sources config. I've set the recording source to BDA recording Plugin with the Twinhan DVB-t and all regions selected. I've selected the EPG as Bleb.org. But when I go to map the channels nothing is detected. It scans and although 2 channels (the hits & sky news) appear in the tv screen in the top right when scanning, it fails to find any channels at all. Has anyone got any ideas where I might be going wrong or something else I can try?

I'm using the twinhan BDA drivers by the way...

web service "page cannot be displayed"
Posted by: tharvey - 2005-03-27, 03:02 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I just installed gb-pvr and it is working well controlling my pvr-150 from my mediamvp etc.

Problem: I must be missing something basic about the www server.
I get "The page cannot be displayed" whenever I put the following url into my www browser: http://192.168.0.8/gbpvr/login.aspx
This is the local ip on my PC running gb-pvr.
I enabled the web server in config. I've tried it with and without a login and password.
I disabled my windows XP home firewall.

I'm running a netgear router with dhcp on my local network.

Any suggestions?

thanks,
Tom

Can anyone advise?

  USB-UIRT Not Changing Channels
Posted by: evalentine - 2005-03-27, 06:26 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

USB-UIRT
Hauppage Remote w/ 250
Echostar Dish Network 301 Receiver

GBPVR & USB-UIRT are receiving and working with the Hauppage 34 button.
GBPVR shows that the channel changed, but it isn't changing. I have the test app for the testing the USB-UIRT. All appears to be well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  2 MVP's - One GBPVR
Posted by: anedjf - 2005-03-27, 05:38 AM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (3)

I have 2 TVs, plus one GB-PVR. Is it possible to have 2 MVPs connect to the same server? It would be nice to watch a program from either location without having to move my MVP and all the associated cables.

Thanks,
anedjf

  By pass main Menu
Posted by: darrin75 - 2005-03-27, 04:02 AM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

I think it would be cool to use a bypass figure in the gbconfig. to allow a user to by pass the main menu and go straight into a plugin menu, Such as, I always use my videos and really never use much of the others, so it would be cool to be able to select the plugin the wish to go straight into. Just as An option really..
