I have a weeny problem that when I try to access Live TV, all of a sudden I get the following message:
"Error: Failure playing back file"
Now, the last thing I changed was the Live TV buffer dir, but tele worked the first time I tried after that, and from then on it doesn't. Even if I uninstall and reinstall GB-PVR, nothing. I changed the buffer dir to "C:\LiveTV Buffer", perhaps it doesn't like spaces?
Anyway, here's my "GBPVR.exe-native-1.log" log:

I assume it's something to do with the live tv buffer, but I don't know what, or how to fix it! :S
problem:
TV channel numbers are mixed up. I can select a program in the TV guide and choose "watch". On my TV, I get picture and sound, but unfortunately, the wrong channel.
My idea was to run tuning assistant to find channels, write numbers down and fix it in GB-PVR.
Tuning assistant obviously finds channels but does not show anything on my computer monitor, so I have no idea WHAT was found.
A quick question regarding using PostProcessing.bat to transcode recordings to another format and comskip.
If I use comskip, and I also call a script to transcode the latest mpeg to DivX format, presumably both the divx encoding program and comskip will be attempting to access the same file at the same time. Can anyone see this causing problems?
The reason I ask is because ever since I set my transcoding script up I'm finding that my programmes no longer have any comskip markers on in GBPVR.
It says that Generic Conexant Blackbird cards are supported. Can anyone tell me what some of them might be. Here's what I am hoping for. I would like to buy a cheap, decent card that will work for now just so I can try this out adn see if I like it. If I do then I guess later I can buy a PVR-350.
I read on here that the MSI TV@nywhere master isn't supported but it has a Conexant CX23883 chipset. Is the CX23883 a Blackbird? The card says it has MPEG1, 2 & 4. If by that they mean hardware encoding then that would be good.
added
- .Link files now work with sub folders
- Amazon Poster and IMDB Description added to Scan Menu
- Actors added (displays a list of actors and their movies you have)
- Scrolling Text for the tagline in the Info Screen
- Scrolling Text for the movies description in the Info Screen
- Toggle Seen
- Every lookup uses a thread now so mvp shouldnt have any problems with long lookups
Actors Features
- Biography
- Gallery (images of that actor)
- Movies (all the movies you have online of that actor).
- Sort by Name, Date of Birth, Credits (how many movies of theirs you have).
Remote Keys
- FF/RW - next/previous actor/movie in the Info Screens
- PgUp/Dwn/Yellow/Blue - moves the scrolling text up/down for the actors bio or movies description in the InfoScreens.
- Red - Delete actor (in "Actors" screen).
- Left/Right - Next/Prev Gallery image
Installation
- If you are using My Videos 2.1.10.0 just unzip the file into the gbpvr directory and run, the database will automatically be updated and no configuration is needed.
- If you are using an older version of my videos, try and just unzip it and see if it works, i havent got an older version to test with but it should work with all 2.1.x version.
Warnings
- IMDB lookups can take awhile now, since it needs to download every actors info (only a issue if you are using a dialup connection).
- Uses more memory (not that much, but still a little bit more).
Notes
- This ones has had a lot of bug testing, but im sure there will be a few more bugs in it, but its pretty good as is.
Extras
- In the zip is a skin.xml for the Blah Blue skin, its been update by me and not the author of the skin, im sure he will update offically it to the newest version, but in the meantime you can get the skin to work by using the skin.xml included in this zip.
I have been working with Xrecord through Scheduler and it is awesome - kudos to the programmers.
I would like to be able to set this up to record all instances of Carnivale on HBO. Problem is that I do not want it to record the ones on HBO Latin. My problem is that I cannot remove that channel from the lineup. I have tried through config, throgh the ZAP2it site, and nothing will remove it. It would be great to tell Xrecord to record all instances, except a certain channel (meaning, record by exclusion rather than inclusion).
