  Xrecord using language.xml
Posted by: jasjol - 2005-03-01, 01:00 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi I really like Xrecord I only use it for recordings - also my kids easily understand the pictures.

I have a request :
1) I want to change text to Swedish and I have done that in a language.xml fil in GBPVR root.
I have e.g. changed Ready to Färdiga

In Xrecord I also need to change the skin.xml because the changes in language.xml is not taken. and when Xrecord is updated I need to translate again

2) in Xrecord skin.xml - I cannot use åäö - Xrecord won't start then

No Audio & Crashing while playing mpegs
Posted by: joenin - 2005-03-01, 12:34 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I've recently purchased a wintv usb2 pvr device and having some issues getting gbpvr working. I can watch livetv but there is no audio, if i try to play a mpeg I have on disk it shows the first frame and crashes. Using WinTV's program I can watch tv fine with audio.

Nothing looks abnormal in the log files.

  Subtitle support
Posted by: Griffon - 2005-03-01, 08:27 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (5)

Hi guys,

I follow each movement over here for the last half year.
I tried the software and really am amazed!

But I see only one thing I should need... subtitle-support while using Xcard!

Is it possible to add subtitle-support with lets say Directvobsub (while using Xcard), just as Tvedia did it?

I would really be happy with that feature.
It is also a good start to get the DVB subs working if DVB support is fully operational.

  Adaptec VideOh! USB 2200
Posted by: Tidder - 2005-03-01, 06:09 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (6)

Trying to figure out how to make this sucker work.  I have graphedit, and have used some information from here on the Adaptec Media 2210, but I don't have quite the same filter combination as the 2210.  I need to know if there's any way I can see which filters are in use when I'm using my device, or if that's even possible!  Does that even sound logical?  To me it does, but I'm dumb.  I'm a computer tech, but this filter stuff has me boggled.

I've made some changes also to my direct.ini for the filters that I did find, but I'm still stumped.

I can't figure out what exactly to do, I've tried to build a graph in graphedit, but can't get one completely working.  I get about half way, and can't find any more correct filters to use.  Any help would be most appreciated please.  Thanks a bunch.

If someone comes up with an answer that works, there's $30 worth of paypal money in it for you.

  turn off transparent backgrounds?
Posted by: Torque - 2005-03-01, 05:57 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (2)

Hi,

I've been designing my own skin and one of the things I need to figure out is how to make the live tv guide not transparent.

My wife and I think it's a neat feature for some stuff but not for the live guide. More often than not we just can't see the guide depending on what what's playing in the background so I'd rather just not have it be transparent.

I've tried drawing a box with black fill color behind it, but the black is transparent too.

Is this doable?

  Volume low
Posted by: dazz - 2005-03-01, 05:20 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

If I open one of the recordings in bsplayer, it is nicely loud. When I open it in GBPVR (without adjusting volume) it is *much* quieter. Hence I have to turn up the volume on the speaker and I can hear the annoying inherent noise (the sound is integrated in the motherboard). What's the deal? I thought the only volume in GBPVR was the system volume (which I have set at max)
??

  Page up/Page down
Posted by: dazz - 2005-03-01, 05:08 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (6)

I have a huge listing of (spurious) errors in my "Ready" recordings list. In order to see the newly recorded ones I would have to somehow get to the bottom of the list. But it is so long that just going one line at a time takes forever (in fact I have not gotten to the bottom). It would be useful to be able to go up/down a page at a time with Page Up/Page Down. Of course this would always be useful for any long listing that crops up anywhere in GBPVR.

My hat is off to you guys for putting out some great stuff at a awesome price!! Everytime I log on here the donation button gets brighter and brighter. I will click soon.

on to my wish....

Now I may be off but I would really like the ability to just play a dvd. I love gbpvr and think it is great. My buddy saw it and he decided to build his own but went with MythTV. We have sort of been in a battle on who can do what and he can play dvd's or rip them.

Although I don't mind ripping them at times... I have some episodes DVD that I would really just want to watch.

GBPVR on Windows 2003 Server w/PVR150
Posted by: JDL440 - 2005-03-01, 03:23 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

www.jo-ro.net

I wanted to let everyone know I got this setup working on Windows 2003 Server without much issue. See my website for a review.

This is a great product, I can't wait to get more into is and maybe even look at developing a plugin or two.
