Ok, so I see that tipstr used to have a megapack of logos but has since pulled its availablility. I tried using the alternative (http://www.satlogo.com) but I can't seem to get the logo's to load up in GBPVR. I've copied the files into C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\media\ChannelLogos and even renamed them to match the name the channel guide uses. I also created a jpeg and gif version of the same logos and still can't get the icons to show up on the guide. What am I doing wrong? I'm using the default Blue skin.
On a side note: I noticed that none of the skins I downloaded are reading the icon files at all (BlueMCE2 for example.) I am assuming this is a bug with the skin but I could be wrong...
Works ok with one.. However, after inserting another PVR 150, no recording can be done. With the live preview checked, there is livetv.. but if it is unchecked, there is a playback file error.. help please
I am very new to this PVR activity. I am aobut to install my new PVR350 and would like to know a couple of things that I can't seem to see clearly in the manual and quickstart etc. etc.
1. Do I need to install the Wintv/TV2000 software that comes with the Haupauge PVR350? If not absolutely necessary, is there any advantage to installing this software anyway?
2. What is the advantage of installing a frontend like GBPVR rather than just using the software from the commercial Hauppauge TV card?
AMD XP 2100+
WinXP Pro
GBPVR 0.90.10
PVR150MCE
Girder 3.3
Phillips MCE remote and receiver (with 1 IR blaster bud)
TV setup:
6 channels thru Antenna in my attic -> Antenna on PVR150
Dish Network Satellite reciever -> S-video IN on PVR150
Currently, I'm able to use GBPVR to change channels when I'm in the range that I've set for the Antenna, but I still have to use my Dish remote to change channels when I'm in the range of satellite channels. So my next step in the process is trying to get my computer to change the channels on my Dish Receiver.
I've learned that unless I use Windows MCE 2005, I can't use the IR blaster with my MCE remote/receiver. It looks like one of my options is to use the USB-UIRT. There are a few people in this forum that say they're changing channels on their Dish Network receiver, but don't mention how.
So my question is what all do I need to make this work with GBPVR? I have already bought Girder.
How do get the Videoarchiver to attach a genre to the various movies? I had it working in an older version of the plugin by making a txt file adding the .desc extension, but it won't work now. When I press the GetDVDinfo icon it starts up, but it gives up after the first movie. What am I doing wrong?
Is there a problem with my setup or is there a known issue when recording from the s-video input and RCA inputs on a 150MCE?
I just tried recording and the file size was larger than a gig within a minute or so. I then tried recording from TV and the difference is very large, the TV file was much much smaller for the same time period
Hi. I am fairly sure that this has worked in the past but does not not now. Does the volume control work on the PVR350? Am I supposed to loop it through the aux port on the sound card and then out to the speakers?
Hi. I am about to update my system with a PVR150. I allready have a PVR350 that I am using and it works great.
I just want to confirm a couple of things.
1) I need to connect both remote cables up right?
2) The PVR150 goes in first in say PCI slot 2 (install drivers reboot etc)
3) The PVR 350 next in say slot 4 (install drivers reboot etc)
I also have an Sigma Designs Xcard that I want to use in place of the PVR350 output becuase I want to play DVD's. Do I put that in say the last slot?
I suppose I then configure GB-PVR and make capture #1 the 150 and capture #2 the 350. Is this right?
Iâm running v0.90.10 and Hauppauge PVR250. I am having a really hard time getting the tuning to work correctly. I have a cable input with 37 channels. I have the following Direct Recording Plugin selected for the Recording Source. It has the following settings:
When I use these settings, I hear the correct audio, but I only see static for the video. When I change the Tuning to Antenna, I see the video (and hear audio) just fine, but only up to channel 13. After 13, I get static.
Also, the Tuning Assistant finds all 37 channels without any problems.
