  Cannot connect to webserver
Posted by: kaging - 2005-02-03, 05:02 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I am a newcomer to GB_PVR and so far everything is working great except the webserver and the remote for my pvr-150 (but that's another issue).

I get the following error below when typing http://localhost:7647 iinto IE or Firefox. Is it something i am missing. Norton Internet Security is disabled. Don't know what else to try.

Thanks,

Kevin

  ChannelImage Icon download utility help
Posted by: cginzel - 2005-02-03, 04:44 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I just tried using the utility ChannelIconDownload by jorm. I followed the three steps and it created two directorys:

gbpvr\AllChannelArt
with full length channel image file names

gbpvr\ChannelArt
with just my channel numbers as numeric file names

and I guess it updated the channel.xml file with entries like:

<Channel number="7" name="7 WDSU" picstring="C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\AllChannelArt\WDSU 6 New Orleans.gif"/>
<Channel number="11" name="11 WGNO" picstring="C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\AllChannelArt\WGNO 26 New Orleans.gif"/>
<Channel number="16" name="16 WGNSAT" picstring=""/>
<Channel number="20" name="20 WHNO" picstring="C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\AllChannelArt\WHNO 20 New Orleans.gif"/>
<Channel number="14" name="14 WLAE" picstring="C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\AllChannelArt\WLAE 32 New Orleans.gif"/>
<Channel number="13" name="13 WNOL" picstring="C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\AllChannelArt\WNOL 38 New Orleans.gif"/>
<Channel number="49" name="49 WPXL" picstring="C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\AllChannelArt\WPXL 49 New Orleans.gif"/>
<Channel number="2" name="2 WUPL" picstring="C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\AllChannelArt\WUPL 54 New Orleans.gif"/>
<Channel number="9" name="9 WVUE" picstring="C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\AllChannelArt\WVUE 8 New Orleans.gif"/>
<Channel number="3" name="3 WWL" picstring="C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\AllChannelArt\WWL 4 New Orleans.gif"/>
<Channel number="12" name="12 WYES" picstring="C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\AllChannelArt\WYES 12 New Orleans.gif"/>

But the default blue skin does not display the images defined in the picstring for these channels. Is there some other configuration needed or is this a bug in GB-PVR? I'm using the latest .908 release.

Thanks,
-Charles

  Rename Recording
Posted by: KingArgyle - 2005-02-03, 04:35 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (300)

Rename Recordings

This is a GBPVR utility application that will take in the full path of a GBPVR recording, and rename
it to the Episode's Sub Title name. If an Episode does not have a sub title, the recording name
stays the same. The physical file name is renamed, as well as the name in the GBPVR database.

So for example:

Las Vegas_20050201_220000.mpg will become
The Count of Montecito.mpg

It will still reside under the Las Vegas folder.

The best way to run this application is as part of the GBPVR PostProcessing.bat file.

Add an entry that looks like this to the the file:

renamerecording %1

Place RenameRecording.exe and RecordingUtil.dll (part of the External Recording Manager 0.1.0. Beta),
in the root GBPVR directory.

You can also run it from the command line:

renamerecording "C:\Tivo\Common\Las Vegas\Las Vegas_20050201_220000.mpg"

Note: I have not tested this with any other Video plugins. If any plugins rely on the original naming convention, then some information those plugins rely on may not work with the renamed file.

  The Apprentice season 2 finale anyone got it?
Posted by: sub - 2005-02-03, 04:33 AM - Forum: NextPVR Announcements - Replies (15)

Anyone got the final episode of 'the apprentice' season 2, and a fast internet connection, and willing to let me download the file? It just showed here in NZ on Tuesday night, but after uninstalling/reinstalling numerous times to test the last release, I forgot to set it up again. Damn...

If you can help a brother out, email me at support@devnz.com

Something smaller than mpeg2 like DivX or XVid would be ideal.

(must get around to writing that screen that lets us share video's)

  PVR-350 & WinTV PVR USB
Posted by: pcostanza - 2005-02-03, 04:14 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Should there be any problems with running my PVR350 at the same time as the WInTV PVR USB2? I'm thinking on getting the PVR USB so I can record 2 shows at the same time and don't have enough slots. It's also cheaper than the new 500.

  Re-order capture sources without loosing existing
Posted by: bgowland - 2005-02-03, 04:11 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I currently have two capture sources - top down on the Capture Source page, PVR350 (#2) and Nova-t (#1).

I now want to put my PVR500 in but want the tuners to be capture sources #4 and #3 with the PVR 350 still as #2 and Nova-t as #1.

The only way I can see of doing this is to delete the existing setup then add the 500, 350 and Nova-t in that order. If I do that, however, I'll loose my Ready recordings.

Any way around this? (A hack of the GBPVR.MDB for instance?).

  Hauppauge PVR150 direct access
Posted by: capone - 2005-02-03, 03:33 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Plain enough, how does this work?

There are a few of us that have an issue where the nforce hardware and/or drivers kick off the irremote app, leaving it unable to restart.

My impression was the the direct access would not require the irremote program? Is this true, or am I misundertstanding altogether?

If that's the not the case, I may try a SB USB sound device (the hookup to the sony receiver will be nice) and disable the nvidia MB hardware altogether.

  recordings empty after .90 upgrade
Posted by: kranich - 2005-02-03, 03:31 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

After upgrading to .90, I still have a directory full of folder-grouped recordings, but the list is blank when I choose the Recordings menu. Is there any way for me to tell gbpvr to discover them and populate the list?
thanks!

  looping tv guide
Posted by: reven - 2005-02-03, 03:27 AM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

yeah my title is bad. anyway sub can you make it so if you press up on the first tv channel in the tv guide (live guide too, but i assume this is the same code, so this will effect that anyway) it takes you to the last channel, and down on last takes you to the first channel.

also the page down in the guide needs a little bit of fixing, if you keep pressing page down takes you to that last channel, but only that channel is visible, it should be changed so that the last channel is selected, but the firstchannelstoshowindex should remain the same (yeah im not explaining this very well). i asked you ages ago about this, i hope you remember that explaination. try page down in "my videos" that will show you what i mean.
