I just did the upgrade and all seems to work. The speed on a chan change is great now. I only have one problem, Now that I can change the chan I find that after about 5 to six chan changes the video starts to lock up. The sound is fine not going out of sink just the video. It seems to lock for a sec and then come back in sink with the sound and then lock again. It will lock about every 3 to 4 seconds for about 1 second. All othere things seem fine I think? I have not tested a recorded show yet I think it is only the live TV. If I close the TV and go back to the guide and then reopen the TV it will play fine. It is only after I have changed the chan a few time s that is starts to lock.

My Pictures now uses a database to store the thumbnail images, so if it finds an image without a stored thumbnail it adds it to the database, once the thumbnails are in the database the thumbnail loading speeds are greatly increased. Â Ive also added a "scan" option in the config app, so you can scan the virtual root for all image files and it will create thumbnails that way, which i recommend. Â for small images you wont see much of a difference, but for large images, a couple of megs or so, you'll notice a big difference.
if you're not using C:\program files\devnz\gbpvr as your gbpvr directory, you need to change the connection string in the config (just change that value, ignore the rest).
find any bugs, have any requests let me know.
databases are wonderful things...
hey im up to 1000 posts, thats a lot
I've (at least temporarily) gone back to Snapstream, because their web interface gives me the ability to set a manual recording to a specific minute. I could not program tonight's Happy Days reunion and ER, because ER starts at 8:59, not 9:00. With BeyondTV I made Happy Days a manual recording from 7:00 to 8:59 to resolve the conflict.
I don't have room for a second tuner card, nor am I inclined to buy one just so I can record two shows at once. If I actually wanted two from the same time slot, then fine, but not for a 60-second overlap.
Maybe this belongs on the Wish List forum, but there should be some way to resolve a 1-minute or 5-minute conflict like this. Maybe end one show early, or start the other late, rather than have to cancel one of them altogether.
BTW, NBC does this specifically to destroy our ability to do what we (and a jillion Tivo users) are doing.
In the TV Guide a green box fill indicates a selected listing and a red box fill indicates a scheduled listing. For the last couple of releases I have noticed that when I move to select a scheduled listing the fill colour turns green. I seem to recall that is used to turn a dark red. I notice that there is a colour specified for SelectedScheduledListing in ..\Blue\tv guide\skin.xml. So I am not sure why this is no long shown when a scheduled listing is selected? Any ideas.
Setup:
Most recent release of GBPVR.
Hauppauge PVR250.
ATI Radeon 8500LE
ffdshow installed and enabled
When viewing live TV or recorded video, and I mouseover the interface the little blue bar w/ the controls pops up as expected. As this happens, the colors on the video behind it go wacky - everything gets a strange tint to it. If i mouseout of the window and let the control panel go away, and then resize or move the window, the colors return to normal.
I haven't been able to pin down whether this started when I installed ffdshow or not. I have tried disabling ffdshow, changing its settings, VMR9, VMR7, Overlay (no picture at all with this), turning off "use ffdshow" in config, etc, etc.
Nothing seems to get rid of this little issue. I don't think its my system because it did not have this problem before this latest release and all other players work fine. Also, recording works fine, no discoloration there at all.
Any hints? Love it overall, a really great product if I can just get past this one issue!

Sub,
Would it be possible to get a forum section created that is dedicated to trading/selling of hardware? I understand that it would probably need to be moderated to keep commercial distributors out; but for example I just got my second PVR-150 card today and don't really need the 45 button remote that came with it. I figure someone here could possibly use it rather than just letting it sit in the box. Additionally I'm sure that there are others out there who have hardware that they bought to test out and may not really satisified with the performance and so it is just sitting there. Would such a section be a bad idea?
Does anybody have any links to VFDs or LCDs that could be added to an HTPC case? I see cases sellling with them already installed; but have been unable to find any stand alone...except for one I found in Australia....I"m in the U.S....lol
I have a win-tv radio pci card, and i cant get it to work with this app. i dont have pvr, i have soft pvr which i imagine is a dumbed down version designed for my card.
