Finally got v0.90 working and attempted to schedule overnight back to back movies on the same channel. This morning I found the computer frozen at the precise time the second movie was to start recording. Upon reboot the recording menu showed the first movie properly recorded, but the second one indicated "failed". Coincidence? Anybody else had/having this problem? Never had happened before with previous GB-PVR versions.
I was looking at a PVR-150 and on the box it has a picture of the old remote, but from everything I've seen it seems they always have the new remote. Has anyone ever gotten a 150 with the older remote? (The box does say remote and card are subject to change.)
I just loaded the IMDB plugin and loaded the HTMLGui, when I run the the HTMLGui.exe and load my DVD titles and then go to the GBPVR and click on movie list and look at my new titles I get the error "no IMDB entry found". I must be missing something to get my new title to list correctly there.
please help
This is a great plugin and I really want to use it.
Is it possible to have different menus for the MVP and the GBPVR I run on the main computer?
I want to try and keep the menu on the MVP as easy as possible for the Wife approval factor.
But on the computer I will be the only one using so I want more menu options (DVD2MPGâ¦)
I have the Typhoon PVR USB which is similar to Lifeview Walker (G07007 device). It's not working with any of the G07007 settings. Can anybody tell me how I can add my card?

Edit: Sorry...wrong name of the card in the topic...
With Sub away for a while I thought I would do some research to see how many other people are experiencing this problem, Â this might shed some light as to the cause and a possible solution.
Here is what is happening:
I launch GBPVR and select LiveTV.
If I donât change the channel it will work fine and the file (Autorotica_2_20050202_18001900.mpg) in the LiveTVBuffer folder will continue to grow above 20mb as the show is being watched.
Now if I change the channel a new file is created in the LiveTVBuffer folder reflecting the name of the new show:
(Winter Revolution_2_20050202_1800200.mpg).
If I stay on this channel the file will grow to ~20mb. Â Then the screen will flash and a new file is created in the LiveTVBuffer folder named:
(Autorotica_2_20050202_18001900-2.mpg). Â The channel doesnât change and the show being recorded is correct, but the name is from the previous show before I changed the channel.
If I continue to let LiveTV run the same thing will happen when the previous file reaches ~20mb. Then the screen will flash and a new file is created in the LiveTVBuffer folder named:
(Autorotica_2_20050202_18001900-3.mpg).
This will continue to happen with a new file being created with an incremented number at the end until I exit LiveTV. Â If I return to LiveTV and donât change the channel everything is fine. Â It only happens after I change the channel.
This happens on the PC or using the MVP.
Anyone else notice this or have any ideas for a solution??
My System: P4 2.4 GHz, Asus P4P800, 1gig DDR, GeForce 4 TI 8X 128meg.
Capture Card: Hauppage PVR 150 PCI
My Equipment Config: DishNetwork DVR522. Capture card hooked up via cable coax splitter before TV. I've also tried Composite.
I bought this card because the DVR522 is nearly impossible to pull videos off. Also most of the DVR's require service. I previously had a PVR 250 USB2 which went back to the store 5 minutes after I witnessed the quality (horrible).
My PVR 150 works better and I prefer the direct PCI interface over troublesome USB. Yet I'm still getting interlacing problems at higher resolutions. My whole point of buying this was to capture DVD quality from my DVR recordings saved in my DVR522 so I could edit and then burn them to DVD. When I play back the saved MPEG's I can clearly see interlacing, especially in high motion scenes. The only way I can get rid of it is to drop the resolution to VCD quality or half-d1. This is sensless since I already had an old WinTV which could do that flawlessly. I want DVD quality!!! (sigh)
What can I do to de-interlace these recordings? Otherwise I'm taking this PVR 150 back to the store. I've tried the WinTV2000, GB-PVR, SageTV(don't work at all), DVR3 (don't work at all), DScaler (bad lag on recording). GB-PVR records but I still see interlacing.
I've tried every combination of CBR/VBR and resolution possible with this card. Like I said the only thing that works is VCD or Half-D1, both poor options for what I consider high quality.
Is there something I can do or should I get rid of this card?
Hey sub or anyone else out there, my observation is that 0.90 seems to use the remote.ini file differently?!? I don't see a section in remote.ini with GBPVR. How do I configure the remote file?
