How is this produced? Do you have to write them your self, or does the pluginhelper produce these? i know its a stupid ?, but ahh.

Once again, I must give my applause/thanks  to Sub for a great application. I have only used GBPVR s for a month and a half and am thoroughly Enjoying it! My thanks to  Reven as well for his great "My" series and implementing my random photo request in less than a day! I use that quite often. However my wife said the WAF is going down since I'm always playing / tweaking with GBPVR.  

So here is my question. I have been using Jukebox  here and there along with My Music and would prefer to just leave the TV on so that I can glance over and see what Song / Album is playing however I am worried about burn in and usually turn the TV off.   This is where Sub, Reven, and other coders come in. Is there a way that would eliminate / slow down the burn in process?

I was thinking of the following ideas to help ...
 1) -a black background on My Music or Jukebox (guess I could do that easily by changing the background image)
 2)-a feature which would cause the entire screen to go black except 10 seconds before / after the change of a song (during Jukebox mode or My Music)
3)- changing the location of the text message with the majority of the screen still black. Just show the album art, title, artist, etc and shift it around the screen so that it is not always in one spot / combined with 2nd idea?

BTW... I didn't see who wrote the Jukebox app on the Wiki. Is that you Sub? I didn't think I would be using it however it is great and I love the random feature.

I am considering making a skin look/like Tivo. Of course the gbpvr will replace any Tivo logos etc. Don't want to start problems. Before i start i need to know if people want this. If not, i can concentre on plugin development. Let me know?

After installing and configuring the hardware/software I am unable to get the remote that came with the MediaMVP to work with GB-PVR. If I remove GB-PVR and use the default software that came with MediaMVP, it works ok. I have tried it with both checked and unchecked option titled:
Misc->Use direct access to Hauppauge remote

I got GB-PVR up and running. What a great package! I received the Actisys 200L IR blaster and have not been able to get it to work. The was not able to train the device form the IR200L Channel Changer Configuration screen.

My question does the IR200L Changer Plugin installs whatever drivers needed to make the IR200L work when connected to an available serial com port?

Do I need to install any window XP Pro (SP2) drivers?

Is there anyway to tell if the GBPVR is communicating with the device?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have been struggling trying to get this device to work and so far I not had much luck.

I'd like to be able to have the ability to resume playback of a video from where it was last stopped. For instance, I am watching a video in the living room using the GBPVR server. I would then like to continue watching it on my MVP client in the bedroom/study or wherever.

would you beable to incorperate a graph folder where some one can create custom graphs for you program.

I thought about how it should work. and I do not think it would be to hard to implement..
basically you need three different dshows filters

SOURCE FILTER ( which you already have)- basic operation Just allows access to the present file being used be gb-pvr..
FILE WRITTER ( which you already have) Just write a buffer file
VIDEO RENDER ( which you do not) which renders to gb- directly basically just a passthrough filter. that connects to either your VMR render, sigma hardware decoder, or hauppauger 350..

basically I would like it for processing Video that is not supported by my particular hardware decoder.

basically it would be setup like this
dvix.xgr( or whoeverformat you want)
wmv.xgr
ogm.xgr
anyways when gb-pvr finds a codec of this form it process it through a custom graph.

gb-source->splitter__V-decoder-> V-encoder_ multiplex-> writer
..........................\_A-decoder->A-encoder_/

then gb-pvr just access the new buffer file that is transcoded to a useable format..

( I see alot of mpv guy would like this option to reencode to differing formats)

if you would like my mpeg encoder to test with I give you a copy. it works pretty good.. I can process divx 2 hour movie on cd 800megs in 5 minutes - 10 minutes depending on the desired outcome bitrate.. most internet clips take less then a second to process.. on my computer. but if the file is write open then you can just access it as it being written.
if you want my encoder filters to test I be glad to send them to you... 700kbs I also have freeware ones just never tried them in this configuration.

for custom processing:
you would use the gb-source and gb- render

if you wish to use a custom video or audio procesiing filter
gbSource-> custom filters --> gb-render

as nice as it might be to look at picture but with my netstream it only in 256 colours which just not do it for me..



well anyways hope you will add this feature to your program.. it would be nice to be able to play any format on my card... be it xcard, netstream 2000, hauppuger 350

after a little bit of experimenting you should be able to do a lot of different functions live stream, differing netmedia other then shoutcast... desktop view websurfing and ton more features could be added easily if you used this format.. by third party developers..

hope you like the idea.. if not, to bad, i think it is a very nice way to give the user. better control over your program and hopely fix some of thier own specific problems with out nagging you about it...

I am using the remote that came with my 150. I am wondering if someone could tell me how to get the IR Restart to start up when I turn my pc on. as it is now gbpvr starts, but the remote does not.

I shared my Recordings Directory on my GBPVR box and can browse it from my home network.  I can copy videos to my PC with no problems.  The file plays fine with Windows Media Player 10 with no problems.  But I dispise WMP and want to use WinAmp.  However, WinAmp plays the first frame and then only the audio.  I'm guessing that I dont have the right codec installed with WinAmp.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to fix this?

I can't seem to play certain mpeg2 files, not sure why. Very little in the way of logs... I have other mpeg2 files that work fine, no clue while these arn't...
