  Jukebox Changes
Posted by: lerxst - 2005-01-02, 07:57 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (5)

I made some changes to the Jukebox plugin to fix some bugs I found with it and the MVP. How can I make these available to others?

- Fixed page up/page down buttons to register as onclick events. They didn't reset the 10 second timer that switches the screen back to the playlist. They also didn't switch the screen back to the file list from the playlist screen.

- Made the OK button the way to select tracks to add to the playlist. Using the Right button to both navigate and select tracks made people accidentally select tracks they didn't want to play.

- Made the album image on the playlist screen bigger.

Are there any plans to allow playlist modifications? The only options available through the API are adding songs and retrieving the current playlist. A way to remove and/or reorder songs would be nice.

Also, there is a bug where the MVP will stop playing songs in the playlist if the user navigates to the Main Menu. The current song keeps playing, and the playlist remains intact, but the next song will not start playing unless someone presses Play. Any guesses as to why this is happening?

Thanks!
Ronnie

  Suggestions
Posted by: aegisx - 2005-01-02, 07:51 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (17)

I was a fan of Tivo's suggestion system, since I often didn't know what I wanted to tape.

Anyone have plans for something similar?

winfast PVR2000 sound but no video
Posted by: DeanB - 2005-01-02, 07:16 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I've had a search through the forum and cant see anyone else having this problem.

Just installed a new Leadtek PVR2000 following a few weeks on GBPVR usage, but no live TV...

PVR2000 works fine, own software shows pictures and sound, and records and plays back fine. GBPVR plays back stuff previously recorded with PVR2000.

This is what i currently get :-

Main images are from first time i tried to view LiveTV, top green band is current channel being viewed - sound is fine, but obviously no picture.

Any help appreciated.

Dean.

Anyone recommend a good C# book?
Posted by: bgowland - 2005-01-02, 07:13 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (9)

I'm looking at the Comics source and it's mostly making sense (possibly enough to try a 'Hello World' plug-in later  [Image: smile.gif] ). But...

With developing GB-PVR plug-ins in mind using Visual Studio .NET can anyone recommend a good book.

Something that gives a basic introduction to the concepts but doesn't hold back on technical detail/references. I've programmed quite a few languages over the years but I've never written a line of C#.

Cheers,
Brian

  Using Firefly remote with GBPVR
Posted by: jasonf - 2005-01-02, 05:10 PM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (5)

I came up with some profiles to enable the SnapStream Firefly remote (a Christmas present of mine) to work with GB-PVR without using GIRDER.  It might be subject to further refinement, but so far, it looks like I at least captured the functions supported by the Hauppauge remote.

  Can I use Hauppague's Scheduler?
Posted by: Pioneer4x4 - 2005-01-02, 03:51 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I have a hauppauge WinTV-PVR-PCI which is not supported by GB-PVR (I wish is was....). I currently am using GB-PVR as a replacement for the Media MVP server, and absolutely love it. It is amazing! My GB-PVR server is my main PC in the basement of my house, and the MVP is in my family room wired via ethernet through router-switch.. I have the Picture ,Weather (with 3 zipcodes),Theater (with a seperate button linked to refresh listings),Solitare, and Comics plugins.

I have been using TitanTV to select shows to record on my PVR card, and it works fine. But now, I can view the TV Listings right at my TV upstairs, and I would love to be able to select <Record> and add it to the scheduler.

Or if I could view the TitanTV "Big Screen" listings on the GB-PVR and select from there, that might work also.

  My Jukebox configuration and keys
Posted by: yuss - 2005-01-02, 03:38 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

How do you change the folder that the plugin looks in? I have music in 3 different folders. It sees one of them only. If I use Sub's music option, I can browse and access all three folders. Is there a way to manually (or use the mouse/keystroke to) configure the plugin to go to another folder?
TIA

Display current time in TV Guide
Posted by: Omega Supreme - 2005-01-02, 01:15 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (5)

I've been playing around with HTPC software for the last couple of days. I liked GB-PVR best, because the PVR part is what's most important to me and it seems to be the focus of this program. There is however one thing that Media Portal for example has the this does not:

In the guide MP displays the current time, so you can immediately see if a program has already started. It's a vertical line through the guide at the current time.

Any change this will be implemented in GB-PVR?

If not, any change of a clock being displayed in the guide screen? I've been running in windowed mode for the testing, but when I've decided on all the hard- and software for my HTPC it will only be run in full screen so no windows clock!
