I've been using my MediaMVP wired to the host computer via my Linksys router (WRT54G) with little to no problems. Â
I've read several posts that had me a bit worried, but I need to move my MediaMVP to another TV set far away from any wired access... so I bought a wireless Linksys bridge (WGA54G). Â All my wireless cards and the router are set to "G-only" mode and I'm only doing MAC filtering (no WEP). Â For the most part, it seems to work (bridge/MediaMVP/TV and Router are all in the same room for testing), except that after about 2 minutes of streaming Live TV or recorded shows, the picture freezes and then the MediaMVP goes into contacting servers mode... it will find the server and I can go back to the show, but it will die each time within 2 minutes (sometimes faster).
Questions:
1) Does anyone know what may be causing this and have tips for eliminating it?
2) Does applying the latest Hauppauge "drivers" (at: ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/download/mediamvp/) affect GB-PVR usage in any way? And if so, which is considered the most appropriate/stable with GB-PVR?
3) I'm assuming that installing the drivers on the host PC and hard restarting the MediaMVP causes it to upload updates to the MediaMVP (when using Hauppauge's media server vs. GB-PVR), is that correct?
Anyone know if it's possible to turn off the display of certain plugins when using the MVP interface? The DVD plugin is turned off for the MVP so it can be done.
I'd like to de-clutter some of the display. For me, the Exit and DVD2MPEG plugins aren't useful on the MVP, I only use them on the PC.
I am thinking of adding a second PVR card to my GBPVR machine
does any know if a PVR 150 will work with my PVR350 in the same machine (I dont want to splash out on a second card if it won't work).
I've tried to configure the weather plugin with European cities.
But when I want to start the plugin, I received the following error : Error : invalid URI

im wondering how many people have nero 6 or above, or if you could get it. Â nero has the advantage of having command line options for burning cds/dvds. Â which is hard to find, trust me ive spent many hours trying to find an alternative. Â
im planning on adding "Burn playlist to Audio cd" option in "my music" and also perhaps burn recordings to dvd. Â the burn to audio cd i might be able to get away with a free program, just have to hear back from the developer (hes on holiday). Â
nero is kind of the last resort, but its a strong program and most people seem to have it, im not sure if nero express has nerocmd.exe, can someone check this for me. Â if enough people answer no to this, ill keep looking, also if anyone knows a burning app that can be integrated into vs.net programs or accept command line options and pops up no message boxs, and can take mp3 files directly without having to convert them, can you post links etc.

I think this is new. In 23.13, if I have it set up to use both composite and tuner, it sometimes fails to record when it has to switch from one to the other.
Eg., I record from the tuner OK, then have it set to record from composite then back to tuner. The composite-recording-file is 0 bytes long, and then following tuner-recording-file(s) is also 0 bytes long. Trying to watch TV on the tuner fails. I run WinTV2000 which works, then back to gbpvr to watch tv and record works again.
