  pvr150 IRblaster control of Digibox problem
Posted by: Guest - 2005-01-02, 12:25 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (3)

Hi

I know the new pvr150's IR blaster is not fully supported in gbpvr but I'm having a problem just geting it to control my STB even before I reinstall gbpvr, so I must ask for a little help here otherwse I won't be able to go further....... especialy as Hauppauge are of no help!

I've tried every code in 'BlastCfg' to get Pvr150's IR Blaster to work with my STB (A Panasonic TU-DSB30) but to no avail. I've tried different advanced setting, saving everytime everything and even restarting IR.exe each time, nothing works. The IR transmitter just blinks and nothing happens on my STB (NB: The IR tx is stuck right in front of my STB IR eye).

Please is there somebody that can help me here?? Has anybody got the Pvr150 IR Blaster workng with a Panasonic Sky Digibox yet?

Thanks in advance

  Priority Support Suggestion?
Posted by: pmk - 2005-01-02, 11:37 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (3)

I know "KingArgyle" in this forum is working on some form of external priority support but I would like to inquire how GBPVR currently schedules the reoccurring programmes?

Currently in Recordings - Reoccuring the shows are listed in the order I put them in there I think.  I assume when conflicts are new recordings are checked this list is parsed from the start to the end?

Does this not mean you can get priority support if you added the abilitiy to move Up/Down the items in the Reoccuring list?

If a programme is moved up or down GBPVR would then recalculate the Pending / Conflict list?

Would this work?  I would have thought if it did it would be a lot more simplier and less effort to implement than an external manager / plugin?  It would also mean you are not ending up with multiple applications needing to be run?

TIA

  Digital Terrestial Capture Cards?
Posted by: pmk - 2005-01-02, 11:24 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (9)

Does anyone know if Digital Terrestial Capture Cards need any form of MPEG Encoder chip to save high CPU usage?

I thought that Digital Terrestial output was quite close to the MPG standard so the streams probably do not need to be encoded?

Therefore all that GBPVR would need to do is save the stream direct from the card when / if this is supported?

  Video Jukebox
Posted by: sleptoor - 2005-01-02, 09:48 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Just got my PVR350 and found this site and I'm extremely happy with GBPVR (not with WINTV), thanks SUB!!!!

So not certain where to ask this but here goes. Is there a plugin or built in function that allows one to build a MPEG Video playlist. I know there is a mp3 Jukebox but I believe it does not run videos.

Second question, I have the new PVR remote (silver 45 button) and alot of the buttons either crash my system or are unmapped. how can I remap the keys to be useful? I tried looking in the gbpvr\IR Definitions\Usb-uirt\Huappauge Remote file buts thats way beyond me.

Any help would be great.

  itunes xml files
Posted by: reven - 2005-01-02, 06:48 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (12)

ok this question is for kingarglye (or anyone else who knows). im trying to write a method to read in a itunes xml file, which looks something like

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1...">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>Major Version</key><integer>1</integer>
<key>Minor Version</key><integer>1</integer>
<key>Application Version</key><string>4.6</string>
<key>Music Folder</key><string>file://localhost/E:/MP3s/</string>
<key>Library Persistent ID</key><string>B4B76FD9C797EE78</string>
<key>Tracks</key>
<dict>
<key>35</key>
<dict>
<key>Track ID</key><integer>35</integer>
<key>Name</key><string>Caramel Prisoner</string>
<key>Artist</key><string>Air</string>
<key>Album</key><string>10,000HZ Legend</string>
<key>Genre</key><string>Electronic</string>
<key>Kind</key><string>MPEG audio file</string>
<key>Size</key><integer>4770296</integer>
<key>Total Time</key><integer>298109</integer>
<key>Track Number</key><integer>11</integer>
<key>Date Modified</key><date>2004-01-19T19:20:45Z</date>
<key>Date Added</key><date>2003-10-17T17:51:51Z</date>
<key>Bit Rate</key><integer>128</integer>
<key>Sample Rate</key><integer>44100</integer>
<key>Play Count</key><integer>2</integer>
<key>Play Date</key><integer>-1112527749</integer>
<key>Play Date UTC</key><date>2004-11-04T18:59:07Z</date>
<key>Location</key><string>file://localhost/E:/MP3s/Air/10,000HZ%20Legend/11%20Caramel%20Prisoner.mp3/</string>
<key>File Folder Count</key><integer>4</integer>
<key>Library Folder Count</key><integer>1</integer>
</dict>
which i will store two values in a sortedarray. Key=35 which will be the key (dah), and object will be the file string. but since itunes doesnt use something like
<files>
<key>
<artist></artist>
<filename></filename>
</key>
</files>
so i cant use .getchildnodes for each Key node. which well is the only way i know to iterate thru a xml file.

so i have to test, if key = tracks. then read thru the <dict> and then key again then the dict again, then filename. just with the multiple key and dict tags makes this hard. like icant use
foreach xmlnode in getnode("dict/dict&quotWink.childnodes
blah blah blah
since the key is outside the dict tags.

after i have all the songs in a sorted array, theres another tag below which is <key>playlists</key>
which is similar to the tracks one, just refer to keys is all.

now does anyone know how the best way to read thru one of these files and build up this sorted array, once i have that method, the playlist method shud be just an alteration on that one.

cheers. reven.

  irremote.ini file settings
Posted by: Guest - 2005-01-01, 09:45 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (3)

Having written the calculator plugin I noticed that the key mappings for the remote in irremote.ini are the same for the rewind button and the red button. Is this intentional? They both map to {ctrl}R

Please see here for further info

Can this be changed for a future release so all buttons can be made use of

  for those who want to watch dvb in gb-pvr
Posted by: sash - 2005-01-01, 08:05 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

okay not certian if any one mentioned this before.

but this is a simple method of beable to watch dvb through your dvb card... only prerequiste is that your dvb card works with My theatre..

basically all you do is it configure my theatre timebuffer file to have the extension mpg instead of tmp (say callit dvb.mpg). set it large enough where as it does not give you any problems. also set it to delete time buffer... also for compatiblity and more stablity, build a null graph for my theatre just so that the time buffer line moves with in the program MT program.. anything conected to mt dxpin will do..( just the audio pin is fine) you can have mt start minimized)
now all you do is use your video libary select the MT timebuffer and away you go.. basically all I did for changing channels is just configure girder to control mt theater too along with gb-pvr.. and operate from my fovorite lists.. and it a basic macro that releases the timeshift file filcks back to the gb-pvr main menu then video libary and starts playing the timeshift file again once the channel changes.
it is a bit awkward but basically no different then having a reciever hooked up the video inputs of the 150 pvr .. ( the audio goes out of sync if you change the channel -- you have to return to main menu and back to regain sync.)

basically if you have a twinhan, ss1 or ss2 it will work.. I recomend version mt 2.76 ( it's free)

I sure someone with some programing skill could configure a nice skin and dll that could do all this from osd menu of gb-pvr. since my theatre also operates from a command lines.. heck it even grabs the epg fom the provider and you could display the info on the osd.. if I can recomend something, if someone makes a skin that does this, I sugest that you use an *,ini file that contains the commanline switched to control MT.. and not to be placed with in the dll . MT author has a bad habit of flip flopping all over the place when he issues a new release of MT thing tend to be different. at least people with new versions of mt could adjust so as it would still be compatible with the skin...
