  External Channel Changer params?
Posted by: Chimp - 2005-01-03, 09:52 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I am currently unable to test this, but I hope someone knows this
off the top of their head...

The channel argument that GB-PVR appends to the external app's
command-line...Do I add a space in the command-line I fill in or
does GB-PVR add the space in front of the variable?

Fingers crossed when I get everything all mashed together...
if nothing breaks I have a way to control the dct2XXX series of
cable boxes via python. All you'd have to do is buy a serial cable.
The software used is all opensource...more to follow.

TIA if anyone can answer the variable Question [Image: biggrin.gif]

  LIVE TV network client ?
Posted by: milanp - 2005-01-03, 05:52 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

Are there any chances to have a TV network client for GBPVR anytime soon?
The client should work like Sage Client or Beyond TV link so that we can watch live TV from the server and change tv channels.

  Skin Size
Posted by: yankees - 2005-01-03, 04:13 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (3)

Hi Guys,

Just found GB-PVR so pretty new to this (I know, alarm bell and claxons already sounding .....)

Is it possible to alter the skin size. As far as I can tell the default background image, 720x468, may be specified in the skin.xml files for each module. I suspect that GBPVR is taking this image and managing the scaling? I'd like to be able to customize the aspect ratio too.

I'm aware that the skin dynamically scales, but this isn't quite what I want - is it possible?

BTW, GBPVR looks great (Thought I'd better get that in on my first post!Wink

OT: Netgear MP115 Media Server (MPEG4 Support?)
Posted by: pmk - 2005-01-03, 01:32 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (6)

A bit off topic but during a surfing session I have come across a new media server from Netgear the MP115.

It has a massive supporting list including MPEG4 (I assume this means AVI, XVID etc) although it does list DIVX4 and 5 separately.  I was wondering if anyone has any experience of this device even though I think its only just been released.

I am interested to know if the MPEG4 support is hardware based?  It says minimum requirements of a Pentium 500Mhz which seems very low to support MPEG4 without some hardware based help in the box?

My Live TV pops up in another window
Posted by: Mgreen4117 - 2005-01-03, 04:04 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I have been using GBPVR for a few weeks now and I love it. However just yesterday I went to watch some tv using GBPVR and i went and clicked on the live tv button and it started playing tv in another window. This is kinda annoying. I have it setup to not be in a window when GBPVR opens so I dont think that is the problem. If anyone has a solution please tell me.
Thanks

  can't record 2 shows
Posted by: RogerH - 2005-01-03, 02:18 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (8)

I bought myself an extra tuner card for Christmas. GB-pvr shows that it's recording two shows when they're scheduled, but only one records. I tried them manually. scheduled 2 quick records and checked the status. Both capture devices were recording. So the status says. I checked the harddrive directory. The directory was created for the show on capture source #1, but no file was there. Capture source #2 is working fine. I set up both as capture device #1 (being 2 different cards) . My first card was the pvr-250 so I'm guessing its capture source #1 and pvr-150 #2. Any ideas?

Roger
